Well, shame on me. I was overconfident when I said coronavirus had already peaked in Florida. I was also wrong to say New York State had about 86,000 new daily cases without noting that the health people had done what they always do: they skipped reporting one day and then combined two days’ results for the next day, giving an inflated figure. Finally, I believe I was mistaken to say Omicron had peaked in Zambia. They are still getting around 10% of Florida’s numbers, and while it does look like Florida has peaked, it’s not completely clear.

What was I right about? I was right to say New York State was doing much worse than Florida. It still is. I was also right to say the press was ignoring New York while pretending Florida was a crisis zone. So my premises were completely correct, but I got ahead of myself regarding Florida, and I think what I said about Zambia was factually wrong. I still expect Zambia to turn around fast.

I was right about Omicron going away in South Africa, and I still expect Omicron to go away soon here. South Africa’s spike lasted almost exactly one month. Florida is about two weeks into Omicron. The daily histogram, viewed over a two-week period, appears to show a peak that occurred about two days ago, causing today’s 7-day average to jump. That average can go up the day after a spike peaks. If we get lower figures today and tomorrow, it will suggest the peak hit yesterday and the day before. I think the figure on January 15 will be very close to the low figure we saw on December 15.

New York State’s spike didn’t start with Omicron. It was already moving into a new Delta wave that appears to have missed Florida. The 30-day histogram suggests Omicron piled on top of Delta as of about December 15, so if that’s true, Omicron should go away in the middle of January, but because Delta is still a big deal in New York State, New York may still be in trouble then.

Delta has longer spikes, so I think New York’s figures will remain higher than Florida’s for several weeks.

Let’s see who knows more. Me, a layman who makes wild guesses, or the doctors and scientists who have gotten so many things wrong already.

I was just asking myself this: are they really as stupid as they seem? Can it be that mediocrity is that big a problem among medical people?

This occurred to me: maybe the problem isn’t that they’re stupid. All sorts of brilliant people go into medicine. Maybe the ones that aren’t useless (under 10% in any profession) are trying their best to tell us the truth, but the others are choking them for political reasons and monetary gain. Maybe doctors all over the country are huddling in fear, knowing the truth yet afraid to say it because they’ll lose hospital privileges and referrals.

I know someone who works for a state university. This person can’t say things like, “I don’t think masks work very well” at work. To do so would be to invite termination. My acquaintance isn’t even in the medical field, so it must be worse at that university’s hospitals and laboratories.

Youtube is taking extraordinary measures to keep the truth hidden. Even though I have long predicted this kind of thing, even I was surprised when I saw how bad it had gotten.

Day before yesterday, a ministry I like posted a video saying Christians only had a year to get it together. The ministry’s leader said countries were in the process of passing vaccine laws that would make travel and emigration impossible for people who refused to take shots. I didn’t understand why this was so upsetting to him. No one should be forced to take untested medicines, but the truth appears to be that the viral vector shots are very safe. The mRNA shots have been shown to damage DNA and affect the body’s ability to repair it, but if you can take a viral vector shot and only face a fleeing blood clot risk that only affects 5 or 6 people per million, you shouldn’t be that scared of vaccines. Unless you know something the rest of us don’t.

I wanted to know what he knew, so I posted a comment, including the stuff about the vaccines. The comment vanished. Later, I posted it again. It vanished in a few minutes.

I thought the minister had gone off the rails. I thought he was murdering dissent. Preachers often get that way.

Eventually, I wondered if Youtube was the criminal. I posted a third comment, and the minister said he hadn’t seen the other two.

I finally reposted my comment, using spellings like “DEE ENN AY,” “NJEKSHUN,” and “BLUD KLOTZ.” It stayed up.

Youtube is automatically deleting information which is not only true and important but previously published by MSM sources. What I wrote was factually true, it wasn’t obscene, it wasn’t hateful, it didn’t criticize perverts, and it didn’t encourage violence or the wearing of red hats. It still got erased, and Youtube gave me no notice or warning.

If Youtube is doing this to me, who knows what hospitals, the AMA, universities, and the press are doing to doctors and scientists who want us to hear the truth? A lot of them are getting their messages through, but are those messages neutered to get past the truth-killers? Also, are the communications that get through shadowbanned or otherwise throttled, in order to reduce their reach while giving the false appearance of fairness?

We will probably never know. The truth-killers control the news and write history.

In order to get my comment to work, I went to a different video I had no interest in and kept posting and editing the comment until it survived. I also put up a comment using an anti-homosexual slur to see what would happen. That time, a window popped up, asking me if my comment violated community standards. Whose community? Never mind that question. Anyway, at least Youtube crawled out from under its rock and revealed what it was doing. I deleted the comment after it served its diagnostic purpose.

Try criticizing homosexuality or BLM in a Youtube comment, and see what happens. You won’t like it.

I love this blog, because the daily reads are in 4 figures, and I can say what I like. HONG KONG FLUEY. HONG KONG FLUEY. No one can stop me or keep readers away. Not yet. Eventually, that will change.

It’s really annoying when people say phrases like “Chinese virus,” “CCP flu,” and “Shanghai shivers” are racist. They’re obviously not. Identifying a disease with its geographical origin is not racist, nor is identifying the political party which lied about it and turned it loose on the world without warning us.

The Taiwanese, who are Chinese if not Chinese nationals, say “Wuhan pneumonia.” It is beyond dispute that the virus came from China, and saying so in a lighthearted way, or attaching the initialism “CCP” to it in order to properly allocate blame for the CCP’s near-genocidal coverup, is morally right.

Here’s something leftists don’t get: you don’t actually get to decide what is racist or what other people can say. No one put you in charge of other people. Midget, Indian, illegal alien, looting, riot, whore, pro-life, snowflake, pervert, Eskimo.

Lefto-nuts claim coronavirus slang terms cause idiots to beat up Asians. That’s ridiculous. If people are beating up Asians over the Chinese virus, it’s partly because they’ve seen 5 million news stories saying it came from China, but mostly because they’re idiots.

A lot of people were beating up Asians before coronavirus. They still beat them up for reasons unrelated to the pandemic. Many American blacks are extremely racist, and they commit most anti-Asian attacks. If they mention coronavirus while attacking, it probably doesn’t mean much. Violent, racist criminals will cite whatever excuse they have on hand.

By the way, don’t be deceived. “Attack” doesn’t mean speech. Saying “Chinese virus” is neither a hate crime nor an attack. Leftists claim white people are behind most anti-Asian attacks, and that isn’t even nearly true. They broaden the label “attack” to include nearly everything. A real attack involves physical violence.

In San Francisco, which has a huge Chinatown (Racist term?), a 2008 study determined that 85% of all reported violent attacks (on anyone) were black-on-Asian. That’s not white supremacy or Asian racism at work. Asians were systematically targeted by black people. Nothing could be more racist. At the time, the term “Chinese virus” had not been coined.

Anti-Asian crime is generally rooted in envy. Asians have a long history of moving into blighted minority neighborhoods, opening businesses, and becoming successful where the inhabitants and their ancestors have consistently failed. Many people in these neighborhoods think this is somehow unfair, probably because leftists have been teaching them inequality of outcome proves they are victims of racism, not their own bad behavior. Attacks flow from the victimhood mentality.

Black racists also attack a lot of Arabs and Indians in similar positions, and they are hell on Orthodox Jews. “Shanghai shivers” isn’t the problem. There is zero evidence that slang terms for coronavirus motivate attacks. No criminal has ever said, “I loved Chinese people until I heard somebody say ‘Wuhan flu,’ and then something inside me snapped.”

I’ve been white all my life, and I would know if white people hated Asians. I have only known one white person who seemed to dislike Asians. An uncle of mine doesn’t seem to like Koreans. He thinks they’re mean. I think he may have encountered some angry Korean students in his profession. White Americans generally admire Asians, and my impression is that they like them somewhat better than whites.

Far-Eastern Asians are a little smarter than we are. In America, they commit less crime (not including tax evasion), and they make good money and pay taxes instead of living off them. No one is afraid to walk in an Asian neighborhood at night, except, ironically, Asians. They are afraid of other groups, for good reason. They are probably better Americans, on the whole, than caucasians. What’s not to like?

The CCP is different. It’s important to hold the CCP accountable for the pandemic. It’s not happening, but it should be. Reminding the world the CCP let the virus escape without warning the rest of us could help us prepare for other world-changing CCP crimes which are underway or in the pipeline.

Chinese virus, Chinese virus, Chinese virus. Read it here while you still can.

Unless Xi’s moronic crackdown on capitalism, and by extension, success cripples the whole country, China will continue to ascend. America’s dominance seems certain to vanish soon. God isn’t going to continue favoring a country that abandons him and tries to compel better nations to promote homosexuality, which God absolutely hates.

I think the CCP will go after Taiwan soon. Why should they be afraid? They beat us in Korea and Vietnam, after all. No one likes to say that, but it’s true. We won’t lose because our military is weak. We will lose because we give up.

We will only put up token resistance before accepting humiliation and making up excuses. See if I’m wrong. They’ll probably get the South China Sea, too. Chinese businessmen will continue to lie to us, poison us, and steal our intellectual property with Xi’s help, and we’ll keep buying and buying and buying because America is cursed with submission.

Beijing will probably become the new Rome or London, with a global empire that goes unchallenged for decades or until the beast rises. Who knows? Maybe he’ll be Chinese.

It’s wrong to hate Chinese people for being Chinese, but it’s very good to hate the CCP, and it’s also good to criticize mainland Chinese morals, because they cause a lot of suffering. For example, in mainland China right now, people are cutting dogs up alive and throwing them in boiling water. Look it up. Don’t believe me until you look it up. Also, mainland Chinese are extremely dishonest in business.

The First Amendment has lost a tremendous portion of its power, thanks to the tech kids and people who vote for socialists who give them other people’s property. On top of that, demonic delusion is everywhere, so even when the truth is known, people prefer bizarre theories with no foundation in reality. It’s no coincidence that Q Anon and the flat Earth crazies arose just as the apocalypse began.

One of the great benefits of praying in tongues is that if you do it a lot, the Holy Spirit will lead you out of delusion. As the word says:

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

If you listen to the Holy Spirit, you may draw some bad conclusions, but you will soon recover and know the truth. You’re not going to get the truth from the press, preachers, or the people around you, so you might as well start listening to the source.

When is 30,000 Bigger Than 90,000?

When Leftists do the Math

I can’t resist posting this.

Florida has been catching hell ever since covid arrived in the US. Our wonderful governor refused to panic and turn us into prisoners. We ended up with a high infection number. It’s about like New York State’s. New York’s governor, the notorious ejectee Andrew Cuomo, who had a habit of fondling women without consent, put many thousands of infected people in old folks’ homes, causing a tremendous number of unnecessary deaths.

Florida’s population is bigger than New York’s, partly because New Yorkers move here to die. It’s not like Florida is a tiny state with a gigantic covid toll.

Cuomo got in trouble for molesting women, which is a very bad thing, but the leftist press didn’t care when his pandemic mistake caused the deaths of thousands of people who would otherwise have survived. That mistake was many orders of magnitude worse. Florida’s Governor DeSantis, on the other hand, has been continually slandered, excoriated, and belittled for a coronavirus outcome which is pretty similar to Cuomo’s and which did a much better job of preserving our liberty.

Now we have the Omicron variant, and it’s hitting New York State hard. You would think journalists would shut up about DeSantis, right? You’d expect them to say something about New York and other states which have very serious coronavirus problems.

No, you wouldn’t. They are paid liars now. Objectivity no longer exists. They are still hammering DeSantis, and to look at the news, you would barely know Cuomo existed.

Problem: Omicron is way worse in New York. It has already peaked in Florida. You can look at the graph for yourself. It will probably keep declining. The latest daily number is around 30,000, and the 7-day average is about 16,500. New York State’s latest daily number is about 87,000 (not a typo), and their average is about 36,000. New York State hasn’t peaked yet, either. It will probably get worse for at least a couple more days.

New-York-based journalists had a bigger problem with a one-man handemic than the pandemic.

I can’t be sure, because I only took around 8 semesters of calculus, but I believe 36,000 is bigger than 16,500. I’m not saying I’m smart enough to read news off a teleprompter or get a liberal arts degree, ride on my dad’s coattails, and run for governor, but I feel confident my conclusion is correct.

It literally makes no difference what DeSantis says or does or what happens in Florida. It could be raining money here, and leftists would still be crucifying him over useless mask rules and claiming falsely that he’s against vaccines. What purpose is there in looking at the news? Just imagine what leftists wish it were, and whatever you conjure up will be close what’s actually being published.

I always like to talk about Africa and Zambia when I write about coronavirus. Zambia’s omicron wave is drying up as quickly as it came, and it never compared to what happened in any large American state. South Africa, which used to be considered Omicron’s epicenter, is nearing the end of its wave almost as quickly as it got to the peak.

Omicron is infecting people on an unprecedented scale, and it’s still not producing many deaths. It’s milder than the other variants. It’s probably a huge blessing. It may “vaccinate” us against future strains. Saying this to leftists is like saying “ni” to fictional knights who crave shrubberies. It infuriates them.

Leftists are never happy. They think happiness is collusion in a nonexistent global white supremacist sexist conspiracy. They were utterly miserable all through 2020, they were only slightly less depressed and enraged this year, and now that coronavirus seems to be going away, they can’t stand that, either. If coronavirus goes away, they lose one of their big talking points, which is that everyone still needs to lock down and wear a face diaper.

I think the pandemic is ending. I think it will eventually start up again due to a new mutation, or we’ll get something even worse, but I believe omicron will put a giant dent in the rationales for masks, lockdowns, and shots.

As the numbers decline and the public gets more angry about continued infringements of its essential freedoms, leftists will start appearing on TV, trying to minimize the recovery and looking for ways to continue oppressive pandemic measures. They’ll keep pushing governments to pay people to stay home, because people who get government checks vote for socialism and the persecution of individuals who refuse to pretend homosexuality and gender confusion are normal and healthy.

If covid bounces back with a stronger variant, leftists will experience a rare sensation: joy. They’ll say they were proven right, just like they say a hot week in St. Louis proves the oceans are going to rise and swallow us.

In their hearts, leftists are conflicted. They hate life even more than usual during the pandemic, but they also love the power it has given them. It let them turn people into welfare-addicted loafers. It let them tell people what to do and where they could go. It gave them an opportunity to protest vaccinations and say vaccines were deadly, until Trump, the man who pushed vaccines into existence, left office. Then it gave them an opportunity to oppress the evil, stupid Trumpers who criticized vaccines, which were clearly safe and necessary.

Leftists have been more unhappy than anyone during the pandemic, and that unhappiness, I think, has made them happier than at any time in recent history.

I had a great 2020. I did what I pleased and rarely had to wear a mask. I had a great 2021; I got married and traveled with my beautiful wife. I have been happy, so I guess things haven’t been going very well for me by leftist standards.

I think the last time I wore a mask was in October. I had to fly. I see a few people in my local stores wearing them, but they’re outliers. Probably snowbirds.

I believe 2022 will be a great year for me, too. My only big problems are coronavirus and immigration. Coronavirus appears to be self-limiting through mutation, and the State Department will eventually let my wife in. It would feel weird to get a break from coronavirus. Even a few months of restored communal sanity would seem strange.

Every day without a mask or a gene-damaging mRNA shot is a victory. I don’t know how people in blue states can stand their lives. What must it be like to wear a sweaty, smelly, glasses-fogging mask 8 or 10 hours per day? What is it like to roll up your sleeve and take an untested shot you don’t want, because you’ll get fired if you don’t? I can’t relate, any more than I can relate to having to walk the streets of Baltimore or DC without being allowed to carry a pistol or a knife, or having to cower in San Francisco as organized gangs of violent morons loot stores I depend on.

They say global warming will make the oceans rise until huge areas of low-lying land disappear and everyone has to move to points of high ground. That has already happened to Christians and conservatives. The rights of human beings have disappeared below the water, and God has moved people like me to little oases that protrude from beneath the waves. I can go to the store with a loaded gun in my pocket and a sheath knife displayed openly. If I wanted to, I could celebrate my Southern heritage with a Confederate flag windshield sticker. I can use any pronouns I like. I hunt in my yard. When I feel like it, I take a high-powered rifle out back and shoot 5/8″ 5-shot groups at 100 yards, and my neighbors couldn’t care less.

I don’t have to recycle. I could put old car batteries in the dumpsters at the local collection center if I felt like it, and no one would care. I can give off all the carbon I want. I get a free permit every time I burn a couple of tons of dead trees in my yard, but if I didn’t, nothing would happen.

No one has taken over a local neighborhood and put angry lesbians with rifles in charge of security. No businesses have been burned. No gangs have surrounded me at restaurants and tried to force me to give black power salutes.

If I got in my car, I could drive into the swollen sea and visit the poor people who live on the bottom. I could go to Atlanta or Miami and get a taste of how the cursed are spending the apocalypse. I don’t plan to go to cities any more than I have to. If I didn’t have to travel to see my wife, I would have no desire to enter any major city ever again. Like Robert Redford said in Jeremiah Johnson, I’ve been to a town.

If God gives you favor during these accursed times, you live in an upper-class universe. You have Christian privilege. He separates you from the angry, depressed, carnal hordes and puts you down in a place of safety. People who reject God are living under self-imposed supernatural apartheid.

Anyway, here’s to Omicron. Hope it lives up to its potential.

The Holy Spirit is Our Only Protection From Temptation

The leftist press is going after Perry Stone, but they can’t be faulted for it. They have a case.

Perry Stone was one of my favorite preachers. He has a remarkable gift for understanding the Bible. He exposes and explains things like no one else. He points out startling connections between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

He has a show called Manna-Fest. I used to watch every week, and I also became a partner. He had a site where you could sign up for recurring donations, and partners received material other people did not.

He used to say he would not ask for money. He had faith God would provide it, and for many years, that worked just fine. He had a problem with Trinity Broadcasting, which was one of the networks that featured his show. He wanted to give things away, but Trinity had a policy: people who appeared on their broadcasts weren’t allowed to advertise products that didn’t cost people anything. That’s Trinity for you. Wrong, and not at all ashamed of it.

I enjoyed his work, but I started to notice problems. For one thing, he was angry and argumentative. Sometimes he was very hostile to nonbelievers. He also got into it with Christians who didn’t agree with him. He seemed proud, and pride is the worst weakness.

I believe many of the things he passed on to viewers came straight from God, but he also said things that were silly. It seemed that he sometimes kept talking when God was silent. I remember him telling a crowd the word “embarrass” came from the words “bare” and “ass,” which is ridiculous. I call this “going outside your anointing.” God gave him the ability to do certain things, and Stone apparently got the idea that he could do other things just as well.

I learned he was very good at explaining the Bible, but he wasn’t that great with practical help. He gave weak advice about the actual business of being a Christian. I think some of the things he taught about cleaning up our lives and our families were just his guesses.

I canceled my membership years ago.

Stone had another weakness. He palled around with prosperity preachers. One day I saw a video of him with Steve Munsey. This man runs a huge megachurch in Indiana. He is a pig. He pretends to be some kind of expert, billing himself as a doctor. He makes up lies about Jewish holidays in order to get money. For example, he tells people the ancient Jews made big monetary donations on Passover in exchange for seven blessings.

I’ve written about Munsey before. I’m repeating things so this blog entry will stand on its own feet.

Munsey is the mentor of Rich Wilkerson Sr., the pastor of Miami’s Trinity Church. I attended and volunteered there for several years. Trinity abuses and cheats volunteers, employees, and members. For example, I have been told they deduct tithes from their employees’ checks, and they also force employees to work unpaid hours as volunteers, which is illegal.

I learned how wrong Munsey was, and then I learned Wilkerson knew he was wrong and taught his garbage anyway. I used to criticize Munsey and the other prosperity preachers on social media, and Wilkerson came to consider me a big threat to his church. When I left, he called friends of mine in for secret meetings about me, and of course, they told me.

Munsey pulled in many millions of dollars every year, but he let his house and his church go into foreclosure. He paid himself and his wife extravagantly. He had a plane. He had his own zoo. The bankruptcy judge was highly critical of Munsey, to say the least.

Perry Stone was not a true prosperity preacher. He didn’t tell people God would pay them for giving him offerings, as Munsey did. Unfortunately, he praised Munsey as a man of God and was proud to appear with him. He helped Munsey take people’s savings.

Eventually, Stone went the megachurch route. He built a big compound. First thing you know, he no longer trusted God to pay the bills. The man who used to brag that he never borrowed money suddenly began asking viewers to donate.

In the years that followed, women came forward and accused Stone of misbehaving, and he admitted his guilt. He didn’t say he touched or groped anyone, but he admitted he had said things he should not have. His board told him he had to quit preaching for 8 months.

Now Stone is doing what famous Christian crooks do. He is turning off comments on his Youtube videos. Some are still open to comments, but some are not. Kenneth Copeland and Paula White do the same thing. Roaches are afraid of the light. They’re not doing it because there is some godly purpose. They do it to prevent people from exposing them.

On Christmas Day, Stone’s hometown paper, The Chattanooga Times Free Press, published an article labeled “Women in Perry Stone’s ministry allege sexual misconduct, say FBI is investigating televangelist.” Yahoo News picked it up. That’s remarkable. Stone is fairly obscure compared to people like T.D. Jakes and Joel Osteen. Most Americans don’t know who he is. Still, Yahoo’s people decided to republish the article, which can’t be seen on the Chattanooga paper’s site without a membership. Obviously, Yahoo wants to discredit Christians, and that has to be the primary motivation for carrying the story, but how much can we complain if it’s largely true?

Here are some disturbing allegations (as yet unproven) from the story:

1. Stone approached ministry workers (some in their early twenties) and told them his wife didn’t satisfy him sexually. He said he had a dream suggesting something bad was going to happen to his wife, and he claimed God had told him to be with other women.

2. Stone showed women he was sexually aroused.

3. Stone groped women.

There are other accusations, but these seem to be the worst. Stone’s organization claims some accusations have been refuted, but they admit some are true.

At a recent event, a woman in the crowd stood up and called Stone a “nasty perv” and said women had left the ministry because he “kept touching them.”

Stone’s quoted response is, “Ma’am, I’ll have you arrested, and I’ll bring a lawsuit against you for making statements like that.” After that, he supposedly said, “You’ve talked to people who told 16 lies on my wife and I! That’s who you’ve been talking to.”

Stone also relied on the Cuomo defense. Here is a quotation:

I am not a perfect man. People have taken me hugging and kissing them on the cheek wrong. I quit that. I’m Italian. My whole family holds hands, rubs backs. I didn’t know you can look at somebody and say, “Hey, how you doing?” and they can take it wrong.

He then allegedly said God had told him the people who had accused him would have to answer for it when they died. The Bible, on the other hand, says sins will be forgiven.

The story says 9 women “employed by or connected with” Stone’s ministry have provided letters listing disturbing accusations.

Stone posted a Facebook video saying he had a dream about seven ugly fish with big mouths. They were trying to keep fishermen, representing pastors, from catching other fish which represented young people searching for Christ. He said that in the dream, he killed one fish by hitting it in the head with a pole.

He claims the woman who stood up and called him out is one of the seven fish, and he says one of them is marked by God for a “significant loss.”

It’s very bad.

Obviously, he committed sexual sins with or against women in his ministry. That is undeniable, no matter what the actual sins were.

He may also have told women God wanted him to commit adultery. That would be taking God’s name in vain for a very evil cause. It would be a very great sin for a preacher to commit.

He appears to be focusing more on criticizing the people who are talking about his failures than on confession and repentance. A long time ago, God gave me this: “The concealment of a sin is worse than the sin itself.” Deceiving people about his misdeeds is very bad, and if he is blaming individuals who are telling the truth, it’s far, far worse. Jesus was killed for telling the truth, as were many prophets.

I don’t know if the fish dream is legitimate or not, but it has a bad smell to it. God isn’t the only one who gives people dreams. Threatening people with God’s judgment when they speak the truth for good reason is dangerous. I doubt God had anything to do with the dream.

Stone should never have threatened to have his heckler arrested, unless she did more than talk. If yelling in church is a crime, it’s hard to guess what crime it might be. It sounds like Stone is so proud, he becomes enraged when people say anything negative to him. It reminds me of the way Jesus was slapped for talking to the high priest who was in the process of trying to murder him.

I am pretty familiar with Stone, and he is an emotional person. It wouldn’t surprise me if he reacted from anger and defensiveness instead of listening calmly and responding rationally. It’s what I would expect from him. I have never known him to dig too deeply into criticism of himself or people he is affiliated with.

Here is my guess: Stone’s pride caused him to sink into self-deceit and weakened his relationship with God. It allowed him to fall into adultery or at least something close to it, and then it helped him justify going after his truthful critics instead of confronting his character problems.

I think Steve Munsey is like a tapeworm that infects lost preachers, and Stone opened himself up so Munsey could invade. I believe Stone’s ego made him want a big, impressive compound like the huge churches his Mammon-worshiping friends had, so he left God’s provision behind and started manipulating human beings to get money.

Remember Abraham. God told him he would have a son by Sarah, but he got tired of waiting, so he impregnated a servant. That servant’s descendants should never have existed. They plague Israel’s children until this day. God was going to make good on his promise, but Abraham and Sarah took things into their own hands and relied on the power of the flesh. This is what Stone appears to have done. Maybe God would have given him a big compound eventually without manipulation, or maybe God wanted something else for him, but Stone couldn’t wait for God to show him.

Oddly, Stone just put up an excellent video. It was about a spirit that was seen hovering over a church. It built sexual attraction between men and women in the pews. He said this represented a problem that was intended to destroy the body of Christ in the last days. He also provided a remedy. He said the answer was to pray in tongues a great deal to overcome the spirit’s power.

If Stone is so messed up right now, why was the video so useful? Because Stone’s dad saw the spirit and provided the information. It happened years ago. His dad died a long time back. Stone himself merely relayed the information to the world. Ironically, Stone himself didn’t take the advice. It was obviously for him as well as the rest of us.

I don’t think Stone will recover. Has any preacher ever escaped the clutches of self-admiration or a craving for approval from the public? I can’t think of any. Pride is the worst iniquity, because it shelters all the others so they can continue to fester and grow. If you don’t have too much pride, you can recover from anything.

Many preachers glow with pride. Their egos are so immense, they defy understanding. They quiver with rage when anyone questions them, as though they were generals and the rest of us were privates. God’s kingdom doesn’t work that way. There are only two levels: God’s and ours. If you’re a son, you’re a son, not a grandson or the slave of a son. If you listen to the Holy Spirit, you have the authority to argue with anyone who gets off the track.

It’s very sad to see Stone falling like this. I have prayed for his recovery, and I posted my analysis on one of his Youtubes. Maybe he’ll come around. Thank God I was shown his weaknesses before things got this far.

The Spirit of Christmas Future

In Heaven as it Was on Earth

I hope everyone had a great Christmas.

I am physically separated from my wife, but we spent a long time together using video chat. I have great friends, so we had presents to open and people to message and chat with. Even though we were both technically alone, we had a holiday of love and warmth, and we were encouraged by the knowledge that we would probably get together for good soon.

On Christmas Day, I had a wonderful revelation about Christmas.

I realize December 25 probably isn’t the date of Jesus’ birth, and I have heard all the overthought arguments against celebrating Christmas. Some of them aren’t true. For example, it isn’t true that we got Christmas from the pagan holiday Saturnalia. I don’t think Christmas trees honor the devil. There are plenty of real problems with our modern traditions without making up new ones.

Christmas is imperfect, but it’s still very important. We need to acknowledge Jesus as a nation and as families. The fact that most people think Christmas is about elves and going into debt doesn’t mean you and I can’t do it right.

When I was a kid, my life was miserable. My dad was a wife-beater who drank too much. My mother was a defeated pessimist who failed to introduce her kids to God. My sister was a jealous, sadistic sociopath who resented my existence. Our house was a depressing place of fear and dreary expectations. Nonetheless, I loved Christmas, because we used to visit my mother’s parents in Kentucky. They were wealthy, they had a big house, they always decorated, I got to see my aunts, uncles, and cousins, and I was their favorite grandchild. Kentucky was a place of escape for me. The impression it made in my heart was overly idealistic. It wasn’t hard for Kentucky to look like heaven after what I went through in Florida.

We always had lots of presents and two big dinners. We got to play with great toys. Sometimes there was snow, so we could ride a sled.

It was very comforting to feel I belonged to a loving family. Every branch of the family was somewhat dysfunctional, but at Christmastime, we all came together to form a much more pleasant-looking whole.

On Christmas Day, I started thinking about the passage where the Bible says that through the Holy Spirit, we cry out, “Abba, Father!”, to God. “Abba” is a Hebrew word, and it’s an affectionate term meaning “father.”

Sometimes preachers talk about it, saying it means “daddy.” Personally, I never called my dad that. It always seemed childish to me. It was okay for girls, but “mommy” and “daddy” sounded awful coming from boys. I called my parents “Mom” and “Dad.”

I could never call God “Daddy,” because it would be insincere and make me feel uncomfortable, but I can call him “Dad.” There is no one else here to answer to that now.

I decided to make a special effort to use “Dad” in my prayers. The Bible says Spirit-led Christians are literally the children of God, so we shouldn’t be reluctant to call him what he is.

I had tried this in the past with limited results, but doing it on Christmas day, I felt a real connection. I got a stronger revelation of who I am; what my identity is and what my rights and privileges are. It gave me a sensation of belonging.

It made me think of those Christmases in Kentucky. We gathered at the home of a wealthy, powerful male figure, and we enjoyed his generosity and the warm oasis he provided for us. I can’t speak for everyone else, but I felt that special connection only family members feel. If you’ve ever felt you could show up at your grandparents’ house or an uncle’s house uninvited and unannounced, use your own key to get in, raid the fridge, make long-distance calls from the phone, and move into the guest room, you know what I mean. I felt we were more than separate individuals. We were woven together so none of us had to face the world with only our own strength.

People who say they have seen heaven tell us there are countless radiant beings around the throne of God, inside walls and gates of pearls and precious stones, looking at their father and praising and thanking him with love pouring from everyone, in every direction.

This Christmas, in my heart, I realized what we experienced in Kentucky was a picture of what residents of heaven enjoy every day. It made me feel warm and safe. I was in my big house all by myself, my grandparents were dead, my aunts and cousins generally were no longer interested in relationships with me, my wife was nearly 8,000 miles away, but I had the same basic feeling I used to get in my grandparent’s family room as the kids tore wrapping paper off presents.

Now that I think about it, my house, more than any of my aunts’ or male cousin’s houses, is like my grandfather’s house. I have no kids, but I have brothers and sisters my father in heaven gave me, and I have two godchildren and a bunch of other kids who care about me. They are always welcome to visit. They are safe here, to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

When I was young, I had the feeling I was my grandfather’s son. My dad had this feeling, too, but he would never have said it. He knew his bad behavior had made it impossible for me to look up to him the way I looked up to my grandfather, and when he got older, he developed the habit of saying “your father” when he really meant my mom’s dad.

In my heart, I felt my dad was a problem, not an asset. He was just someone I had to manage and humor in order to avoid problems. My grandfather was different. I was proud to be his grandson. Everywhere we went, people gathered around us to talk to him. Men wanted his counsel and his help. Women wished they were married to him. With my dad, it was different. When I walked around our neighborhood, I knew everyone there had seen police cars outside our house, and maybe they had seen him half-dressed, taunting the police because they knew he couldn’t be arrested for public drunkenness or disturbing the peace as long as he didn’t leave his doorway. I knew the other dads bought their wives and children more things than my dad bought for us, and no one was afraid when those men entered a room. My dad was not very violent with me, but because of the way he had treated my mother in front of me, I couldn’t help being scared of him.

My dad became a loving, doting, Christian father during the last years of his life, but things were different when I was young.

My grandfather didn’t have any boys. He had 4 girls, and he made considerable effort to get the same things from them he would have gotten from sons. He tried to interest two of them in the outdoors, which didn’t work. He sent my mother to law school, where she promptly selected a fiance, got married, and quit. His first male grandchild was older than I was, but my mother was his favorite daughter, so the first male didn’t get the bond I got. I was the one. The next male that arrived was a terror the adults fantasized about slapping, so among the first 4 children, I looked pretty good, and my position was safe.

Now that I’m an adult, I feel I am more of an heir to my grandfather than the others. I didn’t inherit any more wealth than they did, but my place among the people close to me is more like his.

My life is largely shaped by my experiences with him. The pleasure I got from being with him shaped my desires. Like him, I love the country. I live on a farm. He had cattle; I have cattle, although the ones on my farm belong to a tenant. I have tractors because he used to set me on the fender of a Massey-Ferguson and let me ride while he raked and mowed. He used to put me in the driver’s seat and let me drive while he shouted instructions. I love guns because he and I shot and hunted together, and like him, I have a gun room in my house.

I think of myself as someone who turned out barren, but I am more of a patriarch than my 4 male cousins, all of whom had kids. Like my grandfather, I participate in other people’s upkeep. He let my divorced aunt live on one of his farms rent-free for years. He bought cars for his daughter. He paid my sister’s high school tuition even though my dad was wealthy. He gave my mother money to invest. One of his sons-in-law was a hateful, black-hearted drunk who was very hard to like, but my grandfather invested a lot of money trying to keep his car dealership open. He gave his grandchildren calves and paid them the proceeds when they were auctioned. When I was a kid, sometimes he would slip me a fifty when no one was looking. He loved doing things like that. He never expected me to do anything for him.

When I got married, it never occurred to me that my wife should work. I would have been ashamed to let her do that. She doesn’t pay for anything. Yesterday, a cousin who still talks to me said that was remarkable. I was surprised. I had always assumed people would look down on me if I let Rhodah look after herself in Zambia.

When I call her every day, I love hearing her tell me she has spent her day relaxing. That’s exactly what I want to hear. She should shop, cook nice food, read the Bible, pray, minister to others, drive around to see people, and watch good teaching. She should enjoy the home she lives in by herself. The less work she does, the better I like it. I don’t think my male cousins have that attitude. Two are divorced, and I believe the wives of the other two work. The cousin who was surprised I supported my wife is divorced, and her husband abandoned her son. I have another female cousin who seems to have done better. Her first husband was man of good intentions, and I hear complimentary things about the man she married after he died.

Sometimes when I ask my wife what she has been doing all day, she grins and says, “Sitting!” I always tell her I hope she didn’t overexert herself.

I think it’s okay to say I do things for my wife. Jesus cautioned us against telling others about our charitable deeds, but supporting your wife isn’t alms. It’s the fulfillment of an obligation. Bragging about doing things for your wife is like bragging that you brush your teeth. No one should be impressed.

When my mother and father got married, my grandfather bought them a new DeSoto. It was extremely ugly. It was grey with an orange roof. He paid to have the paint improved. He put a red roof on it! At least he tried. Of course, he paid for the wedding, including my dad’s clothes. He rarely drank, but he had a few drinks at the wedding, and before my parents drove off, he took all the money in his pockets, which would have been a lot, and he made them take it for their honeymoon.

That’s the kind of person I want to be.

Maybe God gave me my grandfather and made me a little like him so I would understand what it felt like to be the patriarch. To be a patriarch is to be like God. It’s a very good thing to provide abundance, safety, and shelter. It’s good to overcome the selfishness of my youth so it can’t disgrace me in my old age.

When we are together in heaven, it won’t be like being in church. When I used to go to church, I liked the people around me, but the bonds weren’t that strong. Many of them were hypocrites who didn’t really belong to God’s family. Most of them didn’t know me. When I stood among them during services, it was not much different from standing among total strangers. In heaven, we will feel a family bond like the one I felt in my grandparents’ house as we stuffed ourselves and opened presents. It will be a family reunion, very literally.

Sometimes I have been concerned, and occasionally resentful, about the demands people have made on me. It has annoyed me to hear new requests from people who weren’t making much effort to fix their lives. I believe that feeling is evil, and I try not to cling to that mindset. I always tell Rhodah it’s much better to be the one who gives than the one who takes, because if people are coming to you for help, it means you have, and they don’t. You are more blessed than they are. Rhodah feels the same way.

I can see why leftists, who hate the principles of God’s kingdom, hate Christmas and work so hard to erase it from the public’s culture. Their father is Satan, and Satan doesn’t want us to know we can be a family. He doesn’t want us to love patriarchy, because God is a father, and men who worship God correctly are patriarchs. He doesn’t want us to see the parallel between Christmas togetherness and the unity and love we will one day feel, assembled around the throne Satan will never again see.

Satan’s children want us to be a family, too; the fear-driven, self-centered, ruthless children of the global government and the Internet. He wants to hide the breast and give us a pacifier dipped in poison.

If my revelation from God helps you, then let it be my Christmas present to you. You have 364 days to prepare to receive the benefit.

Fictional Sleigh Delivers Unfortunate Present

Earlier today, I wrote a lot of material about Biden’s dementia being “discovered” suddenly by CNN’s Jeff Zeleny, but I decided not to publish it. A video took the wind out of my sails. Biden and his wife made the mistake of taking Christmas phone calls on camera. They were pretending to track Santa’s sleigh. One caller said, “Let’s go, Brandon!” Biden said, “Let’s go Brandon. I agree.”

He had no idea what was going on.

If you watch the video, you will also see Jill Biden coaching her husband. Even Jimmy Carter didn’t need that.

I saw the humor in the story, but I also saw the cruelty. The caller was picking on an elderly person with a mental handicap, in front of that person’s wife, on national TV. And Biden is the president of the United States, so his error was sobering. Our enemies around the world saw it. It was an ugly moment. It’s humiliating for America.

It was like the moment in The Caine Mutiny where Captain Queeg fell apart on the witness stand.

I love seeing liars proven wrong, and the leftists who have been pretending Biden was fine need to have their noses rubbed in what they did to our country, but I’m not thrilled to see America disintegrate.

The memes are going to be numerous and ruthless, and the left won’t be able to mount much of a defense. If Biden has forgotten what “Let’s go, Brandon” means, something is very wrong. If he never knew, then it proves people are handling and sheltering him like a prize beagle in a dog show. If he were of sound mind and truly in charge, he would know exactly what it meant. There is no way he would have let himself be filmed saying it.

In other news, my wild guesses about coronavirus seem to be panning out. Today I saw a doctor telling people the South African epidemic was collapsing. New studies are coming out confirming the obvious fact that Omicron is mild, so it looks like we have a mild variant replacing the old variant, and the mild variant takes a very short time to run its course in new host groups.

If these things are true, Omicron should be nearly gone in 20 days, and it should provide some degree of resistance to coronavirus in the future. It may be, as I hoped, nature’s vaccine. I think this will happen.

Could 2022 be the year smart people short Pfizer? Could Australians conceivably be released from house arrest?

Incidentally, let me reiterate: I have zero sympathy for Australians who voted to give up their rights. They need to suffer more, not less. Suffering may wake them up. I feel bad for the sane Australians who fought authoritarianism in vain.

I still think the macho posing of male Australians is ridiculous. They can’t have guns, they can’t have knives, they can’t carry any type of object as a defensive weapon, they can’t defend their families, and they cheer the people who are putting healthy Australians in an internment camp.

That Americans ever bought into the Australian independent he-man myth is proof we know very little about other countries. If Elizabeth Warren really wants to be president, she should move to Australia, but I think her work there would be redundant. For that matter, she might be considered too conservative.

Australia’s policies seem ridiculous to me. Coronavirus is a permanent feature of Australian life. Vaccines can’t end it, and neither will lockdowns or herd immunity. They can only minimize it by utterly ruining the quality of their lives, just as I could maximize my safety in the bathroom by hiring an attendant to strap me to the toilet. Doesn’t seem worth it to me. They’re trading liberty for safety, and they’re doing that in a very stupid way. They should be focusing on insulating the fat, old, and sick instead of tormenting everyone.

One great thing about coronavirus is that it has exposed the hypocrisy of many people who lied about loving freedom. Most people care very little about freedom as long as they get a room, a bed, a TV, and a full refrigerator.

I am hoping God sent Omicron to give the world a break. It wouldn’t mean the apocalypse wasn’t upon us, any more than a break in labor pains means a woman isn’t pregnant, but it could make it easier to prepare for whatever comes next.

I still think coronavirus is largely about sexual sin. The other day I was in my car with an audio Bible playing, as always, and I heard this passage from Leviticus:

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

This appears after a long list of forbidden perversions. Oddly, it doesn’t mention plain old fornication. It’s about things like incest.

Lying and/or deluded homosexual activists like to claim the sodomy prohibition was only about pagan temple prostitutes, but that’s wrong. It’s found a big list of sexual aberrations unconnected with worship and idolatry.

It shows that God gave Israel to the Jews at least partly because of the sexual perversion of the gentiles. He really hates perversion. He took favor, which includes things like prosperity, health, and dominance, away from perverts and gave it to the Jews to drive them out. Today, it looks like he has taken favor from the homosexuality-proselytism epicenters of America and Europe. Meanwhile, Christian Africa is doing well. Cases went up sharply in Zambia after Omicron hit, but virtually no one is dying, and their rates are still many times lower than those of Florida and New York State.

I feel like writing about Christmas. I’ll be on my own this year, but on the other hand, this will be my first Christmas as a married man, so I don’t care. I’ll have my wonderful wife on Whatsapp, and some friends have sent presents. That’s plenty for me.

I realize Jesus probably wasn’t born in late December, but Christmas, properly observed, is still a wonderful holiday. I lived a filthy life, and an innocent man chose to take my punishment. It’s good to be reminded that I am like an ex-con in a halfway house, receiving every good thing I have as charity, not as payment for a job well done.

Hope everyone who reads this draws closer to God today and tomorrow. We are headed for a time when it will be increasingly obvious that human beings can’t relieve their own suffering, so you need to be intimate with the only one who can set you apart.

Sometimes the Brass Ring is Welded to the Pole

I just saw Megyn Kelly on Youtube, and it made me think about Greg Gutfeld.

As I wrote recently, I learned that Gutfeld was doing very well in the late night wars, and it amazed me. I don’t question his talent, but I question the talent supporting him, he seems to attract guests of a very low caliber, and the only bits of the show I’ve seen were very bad. It was as if Rupert Pupkin had invited his unpopular friends to his basement.

Gutfeld seems extremely angry these days, as though he is trying not to foam at the mouth. I can picture him cheering on a rioting mob. He seems to have been ruined by success.

Megyn Kelly now has a Youtube channel, and it’s somewhat depressing. She was a big name at Fox, and she was lured away to NBC, where she lasted around 14 months. I thought she was making a gigantic mistake because there was no way she was going to avoid being sabotaged at her new workplace. I knew most of the people around her, while trying to appear supportive, would be seething over her defiling presence in the temple of Marx, and I expected her to get insufficient support. My expectations panned out when she was driven out over some harmless remarks that would never have caused a problem for a leftist.

Her ratings were bad. Someone should have told NBC that nobody who could sit through the previous show, Today, was likely to stick around and watch a woman most liberals think is on a moral par with Lene Riefenstahl.

Kelly stepped in it, and so did NBC. For some reason, they agreed to give her a $69 million contract, if sources are to be believed, and when she was driven out, they had to eat that loss. Even after paying a manager, an agent, the IRS, and state taxes, one would expect her to have maybe $30 million in hand, not to mention whatever she amassed as a highly paid Fox personality, so unless she eats diamonds and bakes her bread with gold dust instead of flour, she ought to be set for life. If her net worth isn’t at least $35 million, she has been doing something wrong. She should be in a position to fly first class wherever she goes, and she should be very confident of taking her last breath surrounded by a doting staff with nondisclosure agreements, in a home you could play golf in.

Somehow, with all that money, she still decided to start a Youtube channel. This is not what journalists with booming careers do. It’s like Russell Crowe doing Shamwow commercials, except Shamwow commercials would appear on national TV.

I can’t understand her choice. Why make a desperation move instead of retiring in comfort? Maybe she feels like a failure unless she’s on TV, and she’ll do anything to keep her face out there in order to stir up interest. That would be silly. She didn’t fail. She did great for someone with nothing special to offer. She won the lottery. Twice. Purely by chance, she beat lots of people who could do exactly what she did. Asking for a third win is highly optimistic, especially at her age, with a reputation for costing networks tons of money.

I don’t understand people who have to work or look highly successful in order to be happy. Ambition is mysterious to me, like anorexia, homosexuality, and the urge to watch the Kardashians. I feel more like my aunt, who once told me, “If I didn’t have to eat, I would lie flat of my back and just barely suck wind.”

I wouldn’t want to be inactive, but the idea of getting a job horrifies me. I don’t want to answer to ewokes and Wokandans. I don’t want to call male coworkers “she” and “her” at the point of a human resources gun. I don’t want to be spirited off to woodsy retreats and undergo humiliating group exercises intended to prove that white men, who did more to build civilization than anyone else, are parasites that need to be exterminated. I don’t want to battle sniping, conniving competitors over things they desire a lot more than I do. I’m not the guy who wets the bed because someone else got the corner office.

I don’t care what future generations think of me, or what this generation thinks of me, for that matter. I don’t want my name on buildings. I don’t want a Wikipedia page. When I wrote books and went on radio and TV shows, I only appeared because I wanted to make money doing something fun. I didn’t want to be famous. I wanted my books to be famous so they would be profitable.

As a lawyer, I never had any interest in making speeches or getting on TV. It wouldn’t mean anything to me to be admired as a lawyer, because law was a last resort for me. Becoming a lawyer was embarrassing. I did it because physics didn’t work out. For me, bragging about being a great lawyer would be like bragging about finding a really good brand of adult diapers.

I can’t relate to people who are impressed by lawyers. I have no respect for the intelligence of lawyers, including Supreme Court justices and law professors, so I don’t feel I have to prove I can do what prominent lawyers do. I’m pretty sure no one on the Supreme Court is as smart as I am, because they sometimes say stupid things, and really smart people generally don’t go to law school. Even the people who graduate summa cum laude generally aren’t great lights. Law school is where people who aren’t smart enough to be doctors end up. There is probably no task in law that requires an IQ over 130. If I’m wrong, and, say, Elena Kagan is brighter than I am, I still don’t care. I’m way smarter than I need to be, it’s fine with me if lots of people are smarter, it’s okay with me if people think I’m downright stupid, and anyway, great intelligence isn’t the colossal gift people think it is.

Intelligence is a lot like height. If you’re a man, and you’re between 6′ and 6’3″, you’re advantaged. You’re more likely to get women, jobs, and acceptance letters from good colleges. You’re less likely to be picked on than smaller men. When you start to get past 6’4″, things get worse for you. You can’t find shoes that fit. Your head will hit the headliner in many cars, and you won’t be able to push the seat back far enough. Airline seats, which are unpleasant even for short people, become torture devices. When you’re really tall, women find you less attractive because they’ll look funny standing next to you. You’re also likely to have joint problems. You’ll get injured more, your injuries will probably be worse, and you will take longer to heal.

I think the sweet spot for brains is between 115 and 140 on the IQ chart. Below 115, you’re going to have to work hard to distinguish yourself. As you go above 140, things other people can tolerate start to become boring, and this can have a big negative effect on your performance in school and at work. You may get tired of pre-editing things you say because you know other people won’t understand them. You may start to lose yourself because you get so used to tailoring your conversation for other people. Women will think you’re geeky. When you’re in school, kids will pick on you. They’ll pick you last for sports because they can’t believe smart kids can be strong and fast.

Between 115 and 140, you can be a good, solid professional. You can get into any college if you work, except for places like MIT and Cal Tech. You’re not so smart you can’t stand your schoolwork or your job. You’re gifted enough to be highly successful, but people can still relate to you, and they will be less hostile to you.

This is how I see it, but I’m just guessing based on personal observation.

Biden’s IQ is probably below 105. I see Trump as smarter, but not a great deal smarter.

When I practiced law, I did virtually nothing to promote myself. I didn’t pretend I was in it for the good of humanity, as many ambitious lawyers do. No one is in it to help mankind. I was in it for the money. Law was never exciting, challenging, or mentally stimulating to me, so I didn’t do it for the satisfaction, and I didn’t con people, claiming I wanted to fix the world. If I could have made lawyer money doing something like writing cookie recipes or designing funny greeting cards, or if someone had simply given me a big allowance, I would have quit law in a heartbeat.

I never did pro bono work, which is something ambitious lawyers do to virtue signal, excuse the rest of their mercenary and harmful activities, and raise their profiles. I thought it was insane to spend hundreds of billable hours exposing myself to malpractice liability for nothing, and aside from that, pro bono is properly the province of criminal and family law attorneys. That’s my opinion, anyway. A trained goose can oversee a plea bargain or an uncontested divorce, and criminal and family cases take very little time. My fellow litigators, on the other hand, often put in over a hundred hours on a single case. Think what that adds up to, if your hourly rate is in three figures. You’re tied to a nonpaying ball and chain, who is entitled to sue for malpractice regardless of whether you charge him, while you still have to pay for rent, food, transportation, property taxes, medical care, and so on.

Why should I donate figures like $20,000 or $60,000 in services? Do pharmacists have to do that? Do engineers? Building contractors? Teachers? Plumbers? Architects? Professors? Why lawyers? Once you represent someone, you have a duty of loyalty to that person for life, and clever attorneys have found ways to nail other attorneys for malpractice decades after representations ended and malpractice insurance was canceled. Why should I have to take on commitments like that?

I believe the main reason pro bono exists is the large body of Michael Avenattis and John Edwardses in the legal profession. There are so many slimy scavengers out there conspicuously ruining the lives of the innocent, the public hates all lawyers, so decent attorneys are supposed to play the pro bono game in order to provide PR balance. I say let the bottom feeders do their own remedial PR.

If I were a doctor, I’d be thrilled to do pro bono work. That’s because doctors, unlike lawyers, actually help people. I remember being asked to go to Haiti after the big earthquake, and I refused because, as a lawyer, I had nothing to offer. I said, “What do they need a lawyer for? Am I supposed to sue people for them?” If I had been a surgeon or engineer, I would have been on the first thing smoking. I would have loved that. As a lawyer, I would have been useless. I would have been handing out water bottles or something. There were plenty of people doing things like that already. Haiti needed medical personnel and people who could move rubble, not unskilled laborers. They had all the laborers they needed.

It would have cost me around $1500 to go to Haiti, I would have been of no use to anyone while I was there, and…I would have been in Haiti, living in squalor, counting the minutes until I could go home to my nice bed, kitchen, central air conditioning unit, private shower, and clean toilet. It made much more sense to send money.

I’m really digressing, but the point is that I don’t understand why any wealthy (or even comfortably retired) person would work, unless he had a vital service to provide. That rules me out. I can’t provide any services of real value. Also, I was never defined by law or, before that, physics. I did those things so I would have food and shelter. I love being able to do what I want. I love prayer and ministry. I love using my tools. I love writing. I love cooking. A job would ruin everything.

I don’t owe the world anything, and I am immune to guilt trips about it, because I can’t understand that mindset. I never think of all the sad little potential plaintiffs and defendants out there who have to do without my services. No one goes without legal representation because I retired, and even if they did, in many cases, it would be the best thing for them. I like helping the poor and people who don’t know God, not litigants.

Megyn Kelly must see things differently, unless she binged on Chanel and Prada and ran through her money. No one in the news industry will hire her, but she is still on Youtube, banging away as though she were still a big media figure with a real job. She has turned her life into a long series of auditions.

Is she hoping to become a Youtube star? That’s not going to happen. Youtube is her new NBC. Youtube promotes people who don’t endanger leftist delusions. It suppresses conservatives, and even though Kelly is a sad excuse for a conservative, she is identified with the right and will never get any algorithmic help. On Youtube, not being helped is the same as being actively opposed. The people who get help rise up around you like a flood, and you drown.

If you’re a herd creature in touch with the interests of the undiscerning, you may know who the big, wealthy Youtubers are. If you look them up, you will see why Kelly is digging her mine on the wrong lease. I don’t know much about them myself, but I have seen a few because I researched them.

1. Mrbeast. This is a college-age kid who stages games in which people humiliate themselves to get huge cash prizes. Four days back, he posted a hide-and-seek video with a $1 million prize. Youtube says he has gotten 35 million views. He has 86 million subscribers. Imagine how much Youtube pays him in order to enable him to provide prizes that big.

2. Faze Rug. This is another kid. He has 20 million subscribers. He does things like buying his parents Lamborghinis. His last video went up yesterday, and he has already gotten 1.7 million views. This isn’t that great for a big Youtuber, but it’s probably more views than Kelly has gotten for all over her videos, combined.

3. Like Nastya. This is a 7-year-old kid who posts videos about her toys and her interactions with her parents. She has 84 million subscribers, and her last video, about her Christmas calendar, has received 4.3 million views. Even with the most powerful mind-enhancing drugs known to man, I could never imagine why people would want to see that.

That’s what real Youtube success looks like, it shows how mentally and spiritually stunted the average viewer is, and it also shows how badly Kelly is doing. Let’s look at her stats. She has been around for about two years. She has about 252,000 subscribers, which sounds good, but subscribers don’t always translate to views.

She busts her butt, putting up numerous videos every week. Her last video has received 14,000 views. To provide contrast, my parrot Marvin has a video that got over 200,000. Marvin’s video has been up a while, and Kelly has videos that have beaten 14,000, but generally she appears to get under 30,000. That’s bad. You can’t live on that traffic. It would take centuries to make $69 million on that traffic. She is probably making less than a thousand dollars per month, and since her videos clearly involve the use of a staff, that can’t be profit.

People who claim to know say Youtube pays around $4 per thousand views. I wouldn’t know; I had the opportunity to monetize a video, but I didn’t try it. Too bad. That $12 would have come in mighty handy in my twilight years. One day I might not be able to say, “Supersize that.”

In September, Kelly signed a Sirius deal. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think it will do well. The only site I’ve found that lists Sirius channels by popularity has a top-40 list, and she isn’t on it. For context, I’ll add that Dusty Street and Earl Times made the list. If you have no idea who those people, are, I’m right there with you. I don’t think NBC ever gave either of them $69 million. You would think a $69 million talent would be top 40 in a week.

I see similarities between Kelly and Gutfeld, along with some important differences.

Gutfeld is similar to Kelly in that a Fox time slot and thirsty Fox viewers made him successful in spite of a product that wasn’t particularly good. This is true, although the reasons for their shows’ lack of exceptional quality are different.

Kelly is a commodity. Her work for Fox was fine, but it was crazy to think she deserved $69 million, because she could have been replaced in a few days. There are lots of nice-looking female talking heads who can do what she can does, as well or better. Many are much prettier than she is; she’s 51. If a meteor hit her in the head tomorrow, another woman could step in the day after, and no viewer would miss her.

She reminds me of a former college friend of mine. He went to Columbia to be an engineer, but it turned out he was not smart enough to handle the math and physics. He graduated with a degree in economics. An economics degree, like an English degree or a history degree, is a tacit confession that you couldn’t think of any marketable skills to acquire in college. It’s a way of admitting you’re fungible and that you wasted your mom and dad’s massive investment, which you could have used to start a business.

After he graduated, he wandered the streets looking for work, and he saw an advertisement for a bookkeeping position. He applied in desperation, and he found himself working at an oil-trading firm. He was eventually promoted to a trading job, which amounted to sitting at a computer directing petroleum-product shipments this way and that. Oil traders received gigantic commissions for doing something a third-grader could do, and he became rich. If he had offended his employers and contacts, he would have had to go back to walking the streets, because anyone could do what he did. Nobody needed him per se. They just needed a person who could answer a phone and enter data.

To prove my point, he helped another friend of mine, another engineering defector who was using his Far Eastern studies degree to move furniture, get a job, and that friend got blackballed after a number of years because of his sexual orientation. That friend went from making hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to struggling, and he never recovered. He didn’t save or invest, so he was ruined. He spent money on things like polo ponies.

Megyn Kelly is like an oil trader, or, now that I think about it, like Jane Pauley. Remember her? She was a Today anchor, making big money. Debra Norville showed up at her workplace when she was at the top, and Norville allegedly said she was going to take her job, referring to her as “the midget.” Norville was younger and prettier, and before long, she got what she wanted. When Norville didn’t work out, Pauley’s former job went to Katie Couric, not Pauley.

Gutfeld is not a commodity. He has a talent that makes him harder to replace, but his show still stinks because of the writing, guests, and lack of a real studio audience.

The big similarity between Kelly and Gutfeld is that either would almost certainly fail anywhere but Fox. Gutfeld would fail even though he’s capable and more talented than Kelly. He would fail because good writers and guests would still run from him, he would no longer have Fox viewers fed to him, and he would also be undermined by his left-leaning coworkers. It would also be hard to find conservative studio audiences for him in New York.

I wonder if the executives at Fox have figured these things out and used them when negotiating Gutfeld’s compensation. He would be hard to replace, but on the other hand, he has nowhere else to go.

It’s sad to see a person who has gotten his dream job, glowing with animosity, reading mean-spirited material, and pretending to enjoy the company of desperate, entry-level guests who seem to be tolerating him. What is a job worth, if you lose yourself?

I was talking to my wife today. We were discussing unhappy, ambitious people. This scripture came to mind: “Better the little a righteous man hath than the riches of many wicked.” Some people would quote it insincerely as a way of saying “sour grapes,” but it’s completely true. People go after things they want because they think they’ll make them happy, but often, their happiness is the price.

People often end up settling for the appearance of happiness, not happiness itself. For example, I’ve known miserable couples that posted dishonest things on Facebook. “Here we are at Disney World with the kids! So blessed!” “What did I ever do to deserve my precious, godly wife?” A tormented wife who posted nonsense like that sent a friend of mine a text saying her life was hell and that she had to get away from her husband. Another called me to tell me her husband was staying with another woman. What’s the point of lying to people? You just make it harder to fix your situation. You give yourself motivation to stay trapped so people won’t know what a hypocrite you are.

Billy Crystal’s Fernando used to say, “It is better to look good than to feel good.” A lot of people really believe that.

If I say my wife and I are having a great time, you can bet your life on it. I don’t feel motivated to lie.

It’s a huge blessing to be separated from worldly people and the filthy, bruising environment they create. I hope God sees fit to keep me and my wife out of it. It has to be terrible to be a slave to a many-eyed monster that doesn’t care whether you live or die as long as you keep it entertained.

Omicron is Mild. Or it’s Not.

Once again, the news about coronavirus is proving itself unreliable. A study from England says Omicron is no milder than Delta. Scary. But in South Africa, where the Omicron wave started manifesting on tests on about November 22, doctors say the hospitalization rate for Omicron is much, much lower than it was for Delta. The stats also suggest the Omicron wave is already ending. There is a well-defined peak in the curve, and it happened days ago. Since then, the curve has dropped off quickly.

Sometimes coronavirus waves have multiple peaks, so maybe Omicron will rebound in South Africa, but things look good now. South Africa has had three other waves, and for some reason, they don’t have multiple peaks. No idea why that happened.

South African doctors say the measured hospitalization rate for Omicron is 1.7% now, and comparing apples to apples, the rate for Delta at the same point in its wave was 19%. So they’re measuring a 90% drop in severity, as measured by hospital admissions. And the death rate is not going up along with the case rate.

No one can really say how many cases there are in South Africa or the UK, and no one really knows how many are Omicron, but if Omicron weren’t mild, we ought to have some evidence by now.

Who is right? THE SCIENCE in England says we’re all doomed. THE SCIENCE in South Africa says Omicron is about like a cold, and it says Omicron might function as a natural vaccine that will make coronavirus nearly harmless. Sure, England’s SCIENCE is based on a study, but South Africa has had Omicron longer, and its doctors are well able to tell the difference between full ICU beds and empty ones.

I think Omicron is milder. I am perfectly happy to assign my own judgment more value than that of the physicians who did the UK study. Doctors are notorious for being bad statisticians. They have told us no end of stupid things based on bad methodology. They used rabbits to predict that eating eggs caused vascular disease in humans. They did a study on bird owners and determined that parrots caused lung cancer, failing to mention the fact that the overwhelming majority of people in the study smoked cigarettes.

I don’t understand the medical establishment. On the one hand, it does brilliant and truly amazing things every day, but on the other, its stupid mistakes keep piling up, along with the bodies of people who listen to its bad advice.

Right now, it’s the medical establishment that tells people to castrate their sons and turn them into freaks, simply because sexual deviation is now considered chic. That’s something to think about when you read coronavirus news. In response to modern medicine’s insanity, many people have said something like this: “when I was 8, I put on a dress and told my parents I was a girl, and they told me to knock it off and waited for it to pass, which it did.” It’s a lot easier to take a dress off than it is to sew your discarded, incinerated penis back on.

But psychiatrists, endocrinologists, and surgeons are getting their big fees, so there is an up side to all of this. The craziness is helping BMW and Mercedes dealers stay in business.

A doctor who helps a confused boy remove his genitals should have his own genitals removed if the boy changes his mind after surgery. If we made them do that, they would be a lot more careful about their decisions.

Omicron is milder than Delta, with or without vaccination. This is my official prediction, based on news stories and my own hunch. If I turn out to be wrong, it won’t matter, because no one listens to me, but I felt like blogging it before all the news comes in. Let’s see what happens.

If the downward turn in the South African curve is predictive, then a more surprising outcome is on the way. Omicron might only last a month wherever it hits. I mean the first Omicron wave. That would be interesting. I thought it would affect more people.

Here’s something truly weird: Zambia seems to be leveling off. Zambia went from near-zero covid to around 1,000 cases per day, very quickly. Now it seems to be plateauing. My wife shows me stats from inside Zambia, and the infection rate doesn’t seem to be increasing any more. Maybe it’s just a lull, but based on what happened in South Africa, maybe it isn’t.

New York State has the same population as Zambia. New York’s last daily figure was over 28,000. New Yorkers live with oppressive anti-coronavirus laws, and Zambians don’t do a whole lot to protect themselves. Their vaccination rate is tiny. What is the explanation for New York’s higher infection numbers?

Other Christian African countries are still experiencing very low numbers. The USA, which is the world’s most forceful advocate of homosexuality and other sexual aberrations, and which uses harsh economic punishments to coerce Christian nations to follow suit, is still the world’s biggest covid reservoir. Our death number is almost twice India’s, and India has a billion people and a bad public health system.

Maybe it’s a coincidence, but African countries that acknowledge Jesus and discourage perversion, and which have had national days of prayer which were proclaimed by their governments, are still experiencing protection rich, sick America isn’t getting.

They’re telling us the Johnson & Johnson shot, which I received, is no good against Omicron. They’re also saying we shouldn’t take it in the future because of a risk of blood clots. At the same time, the mRNA shots have been found to damage genes in ways that prevent damaged DNA from being repaired correctly. The pro-hysteria press isn’t making much of the mRNA-shot problem. Is it because the damage isn’t harmful, or are we witnessing the usual press dishonesty?

I am no doctor, but how can it be a good thing if damaged DNA puts itself together in the wrong way? When I was young, I was taught that this is how cancer and birth defects were caused. For example, I was taught that some radiation particles sever DNA strands, and faulty repair leads to cancer. Isn’t it important to have DNA in good working order? Various websites say it is. It seems self-evident, but I know nearly nothing about DNA.

I know my wife and I will not be taking mRNA shots. The press has lied to the world over and over, as have governments, as has the medical establishment, and they have also spread misinformation unintentionally. Only an idiot would trust the news without investigating. If billions of people now have genetic damage that prevents proper repair to corrupted DNA, how can it be a good thing? What if a cancer pandemic or a birth defect pandemic is on the way?

When my mother was carrying me, she had morning sickness, so her doctor recommended thalidomide. Thalidomide! Go Google the word and look at the pictures. That could have been me, with one twisted flipper instead of four normal limbs. She had a mysterious bad feeling about it and refused to take it. I have a bad feeling about mRNA shots, but unlike my mother, I have facts to back my feeling up.

Thalidomide was rigorously tested before it was released for sale, but somehow, it didn’t occur to the manufacturer to test it on pregnant women. An American FDA employee, Dr. Frances Kelsey, had a problem with that, so she held up approval and prevented a catastrophe. The mRNA shot hasn’t been tested on pregnant women, either. It was rushed, so we don’t know what the long-term effects may be, and science isn’t advanced enough to let us guess. Most people who have gotten the mRNA shots haven’t had time to get pregnant and have a baby since they were injected, and the vaccines were developed in less than 9 months, so we know Pfizer and Moderna have no data. They’ll have it in a couple of years, though. Babies are being born.

Vaccine recipients also haven’t had time to develop cancer.

Thalidomide was not FDA-approved when my mother’s doctor tried to prescribe it. Nonetheless, for some reason, it was released on the American public for testing purposes, by doctors who were just as serious and highly trained as doctors are today. I guess lab rats were considered too expensive. Over 1,200 American doctors were given thalidomide, and incredibly, they prescribed it even though they knew the FDA had problems with it. They only managed to create 17 deformed living children in America, as contrasted with the 10,000 that were born in Germany. I could have been number 18.

I’m not exactly excited about blood clots, but that ship has sailed. The establishment says the risk passes after 28 days, and my shot was in April, so I’m not lying awake nights, but I am reluctant to take a booster, and my wife flat-out refuses.

The funny thing is, I want to be vaccinated. I sound like an anti-vaxxer, but I was very happy to get injected when Johnson & Johnson’s shot became available. I get flu shots. I tried to get a pneumonia shot, but they wouldn’t give it to me. I’m planning to get a shingles shot. I just don’t want shots that could be more dangerous than coronavirus.

I wish I could just trust the press and my government, but it’s impossible. The press is squashing stories about the big coronavirus riots in Europe, and our government officials aren’t talking about them either. They’ve hidden a huge story from hundreds of millions of people. If they can do that, imagine what else they can do. We wouldn’t know it if women in Europe were giving birth to chickens.

Freedom of information in America is an astounding, facially untenable delusion. Somehow most of us cling to it. Even with the Internet, which was supposed to be a gaping hole in our press’s wall of lies, we still have a hard time getting information about many things, and deliberate obstruction is the reason.

I know a vaccine isn’t the mark of the beast. I know it won’t make me magnetic. I know it doesn’t contain microchips. I’m not a conspiracy nut. I think Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, I know the earth is round, I don’t think Antifa rioted at the Capitol, and I am positive Elvis is dead. On the other hand, I recognize a real conspiracy when I’m slapped in the face with it every day, and the unreliability of the carefully-shaped information that reaches us is beyond dispute.

I hope Omicron turns the hurricane of the pandemic into a mild drizzle. I have no doubt that coronavirus is an end-time teaching tool, and overall, I expect disease, hate, and shortages to increase, but that doesn’t mean this particular disease can’t lose its punch.

I think what a month from now, coronavirus will be much less scary than it is now, and it should give me and the wife an excellent opportunity to get together again with fewer rules and neurotic government obstruction. After that, maybe coronavirus may turn into something like a cold, which never disappears but almost never harms anyone. Or we could get a Pi variant which will make the Black Death look like hay fever.

I’m assuming there is no Chinese communist official named Pi. If so, the next variant will be called Ro. The last thing the WHO wants to do is offend the people who released this thing on the world and covered it up.

Chinese virus! Chinese virus! Kung flu! Shanghai shivers! Yes, the CCP has blood on its hands. I love saying it publicly. It’s not racist. The truth can’t be racist. Actually, leftists say math and logic are racist, so maybe the truth is racist after all.

That’s not a problem. We are well on the way to banning truth.

The Strange Schadenfreude of Seeing People Get What You Used to Want

Someone who actually watches his show, let me know: why is Greg Gutfeld doing so well?

Once in a while, probably while scanning Drudge, I have seen references to the success of Gutfeld’s late night show. They seemed bizarre to me, as if such stories couldn’t happen on Earth. I didn’t see how it was possible for a conservative host to do well against leftists who, regardless of how toxic and deluded they may be, attract a lot of behind-the-camera talent and do a very good job. I thought he would get terrible reviews that would poison the audience, and I also assumed he would have third-rate writers.

I remembered Fox’s stomach-cramp-inducing comedy show, The Half-Hour News Hour. If that was the name. It’s what my memory tells me. I’ll Google and make a correction if necessary. Instead of reaching out to new conservative talent like Iowahawk, Frank at IMAO, Scott Ott, or Jeff Goldstein, they hired very weak writers with established connections. They hired a guy named Manny Coto, along with Mike Rowe, I believe. Mike Rowe did a very good reality show, but he’s not much of a humorist. Coto co-created the show along with 24’s Joel Surnow, and they both got credit as writers.

Yeah, I remember all those side-splitting 24 episodes.

Actually, I don’t. I tried watching 24, and I couldn’t take it. How can anyone stand a show where nearly a whole season’s episodes pass with no resolution?

As for The Half-Hour News Hour, I’ll bet it was hard for Coto and Surnow to get their sketches approved, what with them being in charge of the show. There must have been creative meetings where the other writers bit their tongues clean in half.

The show was unbelievably bad, and it tanked. No one could blame liberal network bias, because it aired on Fox. Conservatives preferred turning the TV off to leaving it on and being exposed to the show.

I dumped on the show pretty badly, as did the other conservative humor bloggers of that time. I think I hit at least one nerve. One night, I received an an angry, seemingly drunken comment posted above the name of Manny Coto. I dumped on that as well, because what entertainment professional posts crazy comments on little amateur blogs where his work is criticized? Then a person claiming to be Coto posted a nicer comment, saying he didn’t post the first one. As I recall, the both had the same IP address. I wrote all about that, too, since someone insisted on giving me the material. After that, the comments dried up.

Was it Coto? I don’t know. Maybe his housekeeper got into the cooking sherry and posted strange things from his laptop.

I always had a way of charming people who could have helped me. Inst*pundit, PJ Media, Fox’s “humor” crew…I was exactly the kind of person Dale Carnegie dedicated his life to changing. Of course, none of these people would ever have done anything for me or any other lowly blogger, so it didn’t matter, and I got to be myself, for whatever good that did me. If you’re going to try to be Cyrano, be ready to go out like Cyrano.

I’m glad I didn’t kiss the rings. I would hate to have to recall doing that, especially since it would not have done me any good.

I can’t express how glad I am I never made it. I would be right down in there with the rest of the gladiators, fighting over crumbs. I would have to associate with extremely unsavory people. I’d be battling wokiees on Twitter. People would be encouraging me to cultivate the worst aspects of my personality. I would not know God very well. I would not have my wonderful wife. I would probably be on my way to hell.

What if I had hit the big time, and someone had offered me a job in New York or LA? It’s chilling to even think of it. I’ve never been a suicidal person, but I could see myself heading in that direction after a decade or so in either of those godless, spirit-destroying places. I would probably have jumped at the chance to make money with the cool kids. I seem to have a dim memory of considering a move to LA.

People who do humor for a living are generally terrible human beings, especially when they’re put together in offices and forced to compete. They feed each other’s darkness and become more depraved. I used to be on that path, and if I had made any money, I would have kept right on going. I would have vile friends who weren’t friends at all. I would be in love with cruelty. I wouldn’t know love. I would never grow up.

When I think of it now, a sense of dread envelops me. God has been very, very good to me.

Back when I was still chasing the mechanical rabbit, the conservatives who got somewhere did nothing at all for new talent. I’ll give you an example of how they treated bloggers. Everyone loves Andrew Breitbart, so let me tell you something about him. He knew a humorist I knew. Breitbart controlled Drudge’s site, and a permanent link there could make a career for a writer. It guaranteed massive traffic. Breitbart himself used Drudge links to get traffic for his own site when it was new, and look what happened. Drudge was the stream, and Breitbart was the parasitic waterwheel.

Breitbart used to hint that he was going to give my friend a link, and he pretended to be one of this person’s closest pals. He and a sleazy buddy of his suggested putting suggestive photos up on the blog to increase traffic, which shows what he thought of this person, but he never provided that link, which would have cost him nothing and taken all of 30 seconds. He knew this person really needed a break.

In case you don’t remember, Drudge used to be conservative, his site wasn’t devoted to destroying Donald Trump, and there were permanent links to bloggers. Now his links all go to establishment people.

Next time you put on your Breitbart T-shirt, if you still have it, think about the link story. He was a real jerk. I don’t think he had any principles at all. Readers used to wonder why I didn’t like him. I didn’t like him because I knew more about him than they did, and he didn’t like me, either. He knew I was telling my friend what I thought of him, threatening his influence. For some reason, it was important to him to control a person he had no intention of helping in any way. I believe he wanted my friend to think he was always just on the verge of guaranteeing my friend recognition and an income. It’s clear that he had already made a firm decision not to do it.

Rationed reinforcement combined with insincere promises is a distinguishing tactic of certain types of abusers. They promise wonderful things in order to gain control and make their victims put up with mistreatment. I guess it makes them feel powerful and important.

My friend never got the tiny favor that would have been life-changing. My friend never got a career.

It’s remarkable that so many conservatives defend a man who was largely responsible for creating Huffpo. He knew exactly what Arianna Huffington was. They were two peas in a pod, and she was the smarter pea.

Thinking about the Surnow/Coto shipwreck, I wondered what Gutfeld’s show was like. But I didn’t care enough to watch, because I don’t watch late night TV. I don’t watch any TV unless it pops up on Youtube or I own DVD’s. I don’t have cable or anything similar to it.

Today I saw something on the web suggesting “real” comedians hated Gutfeld’s show. Of course, to liberals, “real” comedians are like “real” women, “real” black people, and “real” actors. “Real” means “leftist.” You can have a penis and be a woman, but you can’t have an AR-15 or realize that socialism is evil and stupid.

This is why Condoleezza Rice is actually a white man.

No, seriously. Try to find a black kid who has been told Condoleezza Rice is a good role model. To the left, she’s just white imperialism in drag.

Although…that would make her a woman, wouldn’t it? Aren’t transvestites women now? It’s so confusing.

I wondered what Gutfeld’s new show was like. I thought there might be something to it. I knew leftist comedians would say it was horrible no matter what. I knew Gutfeld was funny. Certainly funnier than Bill Maher, not that this is a high bar to set.

Today I looked at a Gutfeld monologue from a week or two ago, and it was really bad. There were some very good jokes in there, but overall, it made me uncomfortable. Gutfeld dropped a number of bombs, and he didn’t look confident at all. He seemed to know the material wasn’t good. I’m sure he did. How could he not? He had a group of guests with him, and occasionally, he looked around at them as though hoping for support.

Redeye was often much better, maybe because Andy Levy appeared frequently. I wonder if Gutfeld performed better because there was less pressure in the wee, unwatched hours. Jay Leno instantly became much less funny when he became the star of a big show.

I haven’t thought of Andy Levy in years. He used to comment here occasionally. There’s a guy who never should have taken the bait. He was very good at what he did, but all he ended up doing was wasting years of his life. A Daily Beast piece says Fox never supported him or Gutfeld’s other sidekick, Bill Schulz. I’m sure that’s true; they didn’t seem to knock themselves out promoting Gutfeld. Schulz never had any potential and should have been off somewhere developing a career in something like real estate or teaching, but somebody out there should have given Levy a real platform. I hope Fox and CNN paid him something. I like to think he wasn’t waiting tables and then scurrying to studios to brighten up panels full of airheads.

I also watched a little bit of the show that came after the monologue. Here’s a question: why are the guests so weak? Is it because every big star knows it would be career suicide to appear on Fox? He had a writer I’ve never heard of, a Fox News contributor, a comedian I’ve never heard of, and a former politician, and they were exactly as dull as they sound.

The other hosts banter with actual celebrities. Gutfeld was talking with a politician who had retreated to obscurity, along with three individuals he may well have recruited while standing in the hall outside his office. Isn’t that how he got guests for Redeye? Wait…hmm…it’s actually “Red Eye.”

I never forget how to spell The Jimmy Kimmel Show. Just saying.

It looks like Gutfeld is supposed to be the Bill Maher show with a different set. Is that about right? That makes it a political show, but still, Maher’s show is political, and it gets a much wider range of more-famous guests. I just looked at a list of Gutfeld’s guests (“panelists”?), and it looks a lot like a list of the people who appeared on Red Eye. Is it just Red Eye Prime Time?

Gutfeld himself seems to have gotten much angrier since the last time I saw him. That was years ago, apart from brief glimpses while channel-surfing. He said really mean-spirited things about some people. Has he been watching videos of Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes? Back during the Red Eye days, he had the bubbly jocularity of a fun wedding guest on his second bottle of Moet, but now it’s almost like he’s channeling Mel Gibson. I think he really wants to hurt people.

It makes sense. God has released a spirit of murder on the world, so lots of people are revving up for a bloody purge.

Maybe Gutfeld’s show isn’t always this bad, but I have a feeling it is, and I’m not willing to suffer enough to find out.

The comments on the video are complimentary. Gutfeld’s viewers appear to be solidly on board.

I saw all this and wondered what the explanation was. The show seems depressing, as if no one on the set wants to be there. How can so many people like it?

My best guess is that Gutfeld is a success simply because there is nothing else for normal people to watch after the news. The other hosts spend much of their time insulting about half of Americans, driving them away. Gutfeld’s show isn’t much, but for some people, it’s all there is. And Americans love late night TV. There are probably millions of people who still remember Johnny Carson and are glad to see another show which isn’t a string of attacks on common sense.

Sometimes a great time slot is all the help a bad show needs. Look at Tucker Carlson.

If Gutfeld’s weak show is doing well because he appeals to an alienated audience, why didn’t The Half-Hour News Hour survive? Maybe because Americans weren’t trained to watch TV late on Sunday nights. That’s when it aired.

Gutfeld should get some better writers and do something about his four-person laugh gallery. The thin, insincere-sounding laughter makes it sound like he got desperate and forced people who owe him money to sit in the studio. It would be nice to see a conservative continue to win at this game. Not what I will actually see it. That will never happen. I don’t watch late night shows that are actually funny, so why would I stay up late to watch this one?

This stuff isn’t important to me, because politics is a waste of time, but it’s satisfying when a tree grows in Brooklyn.

I don’t know why I would like to see the show do well. I’m wishing Gutfeld a fate I wouldn’t wish on myself. I think he is in deep trouble because he got what he wanted. I guess I don’t care enough about him to worry about it. I have one set of hopes for Christians and another for people I consider lost. That’s something for me to think about.

In other news, some wonderful things happened in my life over the last couple of days. I started asking God to give me more authority. I have had countless prayers answered, I have cast demons out, and I have received a bunch of miracles. I prayed for my wife, and heat went through her, and she got a miracle healing. Still, I was not satisfied. Too many prayers and other supernatural efforts have failed. I have failed to help people who really needed it. I blame that on authority issues.

Jesus had complete authority over everything; demons, matter…everything. When he cast demons out, they left instantly. He raised a dead man simply by commanding him to come to him. When he received supernatural knowledge, he was never wrong.

I already knew that if I wanted the kind of submission Jesus got, I would have to submit to God. But in order to do that, I needed to hear his voice more clearly. You can’t submit if you don’t know what you’re supposed to do, so you need to hear God. I try to submit, but a lot of the time, I’m guessing. Yesterday, I started praying God would teach me how to be Spirit-led. I prayed for very clear guidance along with help in trusting and obeying. It’s not easy to commit to obey someone else.

Of course, as a Christian, I had prayed for such things in the past, but somehow things seemed clearer yesterday. I felt I had new revelation. I felt I had to learn how and when to ask God for guidance, and I needed to be reminded throughout the day, every day, for the rest of my life.

Today I talked to my wife, and she had had a dream. She told me about it before I mentioned my prayers. In the dream, two of us traveled to another country. Someone from that country asked us to make a choice about how we wanted to spend our lives. We could go through life doing what we thought was best and asking God to bless our efforts, or we could do what the Holy Spirit told us to do. Simultaneously, we both said we wanted to be commanded by the Holy Spirit.

Her dream and my prayers were about the same thing. I believe the other country was the kingdom of heaven. Not heaven. The kingdom of heaven. We are supposed to live in the kingdom while we’re still on this planet.

She said she also saw two snakes coiled around her ankles. She pulled them off and flung them on the ground, and I threw fire at them.

I have often told God I would love to go out and do what Jesus did. I would love to heal people. I would love to make missing body parts grow back and work other miracles that would shame medical science. I would love to prophesy accurately and give people helpful information. I would love to cast spirits out quickly and easily. I can’t imagine anything better to do with the rest of my life. I wouldn’t accept money. I would just go where I could be useful, show people God’s power, love, and generosity, and go home. Maybe I would allow people to pay my expenses sometimes, but nothing more.

Maybe God is listening. If he is, it must have been his idea in the first place.

Today we prayed and asked God to help us to be truly Spirit-led. This world has already seen Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Jesus, and the apostles, so there is no reason to think God won’t enable people to do amazing things today. I have seen a number of impressive Christians who did remarkable things, but none of them begin to measure up to the people I just listed, so we must not be living up to our potential.

I thought I would put the testimony about the dreams and my prayers here so people would be encouraged. I hope I can come back later to tell you how God has followed through.

Failing at Anti-Semitism

If Hitler had Done it This Way, Israel Would be the Size of Brazil

In a bizarre twist of fate, it looks like Donald Trump and his SNL nemesis, Alec Baldwin, are going down together. The sheriff of the county in which Baldwin killed a cinematographer has gotten a search warrant authorizing the seizure of Baldwin’s phone, and Trump just said several things that will be construed as anti-Semitism.

They don’t seize and search your phone because they think you’re innocent. They’re looking for stuff that incriminates Baldwin and anyone who may have helped him illegally after the shooting. Judging from the way Baldwin has handled things so far, I would guess that he deleted some texts and pressured some people to do things to make him look innocent. Baldwin may get in more trouble for things he did after the killing than the killing itself, which carries a fairly light maximum penalty.

Baldwin forced the cops to get a warrant instead of handing the phone over on demand. This is the first intelligent thing I’ve seen him do. You never consent to a search. A search can always turn out to be flawed, and there are probably tens of thousands of murderers walking free in America because the police obtained evidence through bad searches.

There is no plausible explanation for the killing apart from manslaughter, so I have to wonder about the primary reason for searching the phone. They already know convicting Baldwin is a slam dunk. Maybe their main interest is in the things he did afterward. Or maybe phone searches are standard procedure in criminal law. I don’t know. I’m a civil attorney.

Some “experts” are saying Baldwin isn’t cooperating. They say asking for a warrant isn’t cooperation. I’m not sure what they’re trying to say. You’re not supposed to cooperate with the police or prosecutors when you’re guilty. Cooperation puts people in prison. Generally, your attorney should fight them tooth and nail in order to see to it they get the highest ratio of exculpatory evidence to incriminating evidence possible. This is just common sense.

The police and prosecutors are not your friends. They won’t say, “Wow, he was really helpful, and he made us cookies, so we’ll drop the charges.” They will do their best to get you to drop your guard and help them ruin your life. The police are allowed to lie to you in order to gain your confidence. A lot of people don’t know that. You can’t lie to them, but they can lie to you all day, on the record.

When the cops try to get consent for searches, and people refuse, they like to make things unpleasant. They’ll say things like, “Are you really going to make us wait here for a warrant?”, as if the inconvenience to them will make the charges worse. Conventional wisdom is that you should stand your ground and make them wait, especially if you know you’re guilty. If they find evidence with consent, it’s automatically admissible. If they don’t get consent, there may be a way to exclude it. Also, the police plant evidence sometimes. They can’t do that if they can’t go near your property.

If the police want to conduct a search, your goal shouldn’t be to make them happy, end the encounter quickly, or prevent an arrest. It should be to prevent them from getting admissible evidence, period. If you have to sit in your car or house for a week, waiting for the warrant to issue, it’s worth it, at least according to conventional wisdom. It’s better to sit in your car for several hours than to sit in a cell for 20 years.

This is something gun writer, non-attorney, and former part-time cop Massad Ayoob doesn’t seem to understand. He coaches people on how to prevent arrests. That’s astoundingly bad advice. An arrest is not a big deal compared to long-term imprisonment. The police are not your biggest problem. The prosecutors are.

It’s pretty obvious Baldwin committed involuntary manslaughter, and it will be simple to prove it. He should be careful not to provide material for additional charges. He probably hasn’t been. His ego is a marvel.

These are my opinions, issued in connection with discussion of a news story. They are not legal advice, and I don’t advise you to use them for guidance. If you have a run-in with the police, call your lawyer immediately and do what he tells you to do, not what I tell you to do. I’m not your attorney.

As for Trump, he gave an interview to someone he knew was Jewish, and he said some things leftists are characterizing as anti-Semitic. It’s remarkable that they would have the gall to do that, given that leftists are openly hostile to Israel. Obama was a major threat to the safety of Jews everywhere, and Trump tried to undo a lot of the damage.

Trump restored recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, recognized the Golan Heights as part of Israel, and abandoned the anti-Jewish, genocide-facilitating Iran nuclear deal. He supported Israel so strongly he became very popular there. He worked hard on a peace deal and made strides Obama didn’t even try to make. He was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

These things being said, Trump’s remarks will probably destroy any hope he has of future involvement in government. Anti-Semitism is a very touchy subject, offense is America’s new national pastime, and leftists are irrational and unfair. Regardless of how good Trump is for Jews and Israel, I expect his political career to end this week. At the same time, most American Jews will continue to have a high opinion of Obama, and they will vote for any leftist who runs in the next presidential election. Jewish voters have a long history of supporting their enemies and opposing their allies.

He said, “There’s people in this country that are Jewish — no longer love Israel. I’ll tell you, the evangelical Christians love Israel more than the Jews in this country.” This is one of the remarks the left is seizing on.

It’s not anti-Semitic at all to say there are American Jews who don’t care about Israel. It’s true. Jews aren’t monolithic. Their opinions vary. It’s a fair statement of his opinion concerning the sentiments of American Jews, and there is probably a lot of truth to it. Israelis complain about the lack of support they get from American Jews, and many feel American Jews are not very loyal to Judaism or Israel. Pointing these things out is not bigotry. Doesn’t matter. Leftists will use the remark to convince Jews Trump is Hitler.

As for what he said about evangelicals, it may also be true. Evangelicals are extremely zealous about helping the Jewish state. They send many millions of dollars to charities in Israel every year, and, unlike American Jews, they overwhelmingly support pro-Israel politicians. These things are simple, undeniable facts. Evangelicals believe God will bless them if they bless Abraham’s Jewish descendants, and they believe he will curse them if they curse the Jews. According to Jewish sources, around half of the Jewish people are atheists, and very few are devout. It shouldn’t surprise anyone to see that a gentile group that adheres to scripture would be more enthusiastic about Israel than many Jews.

Again, doesn’t matter. Trump Derangement Syndrome can’t be countered with facts.

Trump said this:

It used to be that Israel had absolute power over Congress. And today, I think it’s the exact opposite. And I think Obama and Biden did that. And yet in the election, they still get a lot of votes from Jewish people, which tells you that the Jewish people, and I’ve said this for a long time, the Jewish people in the United States either don’t like Israel or don’t care about Israel.

Trump doesn’t speak carefully, as everyone knows. He exaggerates. Obviously, he doesn’t believe Israel had “absolute power over Congress.” He means Congress used to be afraid of going against Israel, and that is undeniably true. Israel has a powerful lobby. It’s also true that as leftists gain power, Israel’s influence in Congress wanes. That’s happening. Democrats in Congress are saying shocking things about Israel, and they get away with it. The press has no problem with it. That is new, and it started happening in the Obama years. Pointing this out is not anti-Semitic. It’s very pro-Jewish and pro-Israel. Trump wishes American Jews and leftists would be more supportive of the Jewish state.

Leftists want us to think Trump is referring to the myth that Jews run the world from behind closed doors. This is something Jew-hating nuts believe. If Trump were a Jew-hating nut, he would be complaining about Jewish influence and exaggerating its present extent, not lamenting its decline.

Doesn’t matter; doesn’t matter. It sounds enough like Jewish conspiracy myths to give leftists an excuse to accuse and convict Trump.

Trump also complained that people who run The New York Times are against Israel, which is demonstrably true and echoes the complaints of Jews who support Israel. Then he said people who run the Times are Jewish. He referred to the Sulzberger family. This turned out to be an opening for leftist spin. One media source jumped on it, saying the current Sulzberger is Episcopalian.

Here’s the thing: the Sulzbergers ARE partly Jewish. The first Times Sulzberger was Arthur Hays Sulzberger, a Jew. He began working for the paper when it was owned by Adolph Ochs, another Jew. He married Ochs’ daughter, making their children Jewish. His son, Arthur Ochs “Punch” Sulzberger, took over for him. The son married a gentile and produced Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Jr., who ran the Times until 2018. Sulzberger’s son is now in charge. He is 1/4 Jewish.

Punch Sulzberger was an enthusiastic supporter of an anti-Zionist organization, and it looks like his descendants didn’t fall far from the tree.

Okay, Trump wasn’t quite right, and there is an anti-Semitic myth that holds that Jews run the media, but again, Trump was complaining about lack of support for Israel, and he based his criticism on facts no one can dispute. How can that be anti-Semitic?

Doesn’t matter at all. Regardless of what he has done for the Jewish people, and regardless of how his opponents have weakened Israel and endangered Jews, the left’s cognitive dissonance will assure Trump a place in the pantheon of anti-Semites.

Trump complained that Jared Kushner, the Jew who married Ivanka, his now-Jewish daughter, supported Israel more strongly than America. To leftists, this sounded like a common criticism aimed at American Jews. Well, maybe he does favor Israel over America. Not all Americans are loyal. We have many hostile immigrants who came here to make money. We have convicted spies who put our interests last. Sometimes Americans aren’t on America’s side. Immigrants and their children routinely vote for immigration change that harms America. I would be reluctant to side with America over Israel.

Trump knows Kushner pretty well. Why rush to condemn Trump without asking about the basis for his remark?

As for American Jews favoring Israel over America, if that were the case, we wouldn’t have seen about 90% of them vote for a former Muslim (and associate of known anti-Semites like Jeremiah Wright) who was a real threat to the Jewish state. Most American Jews support ceding land to Muslims and watching Israel, their best hope of future security, shrink to insignificance. In the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, they seriously believe America will never turn on them and that their descendants will be safe here. The key is to keep on appeasing.

None of this will save Trump. He went out and danced on the third rail. He could walk through Israel handing gold bars out to Jews, and he would still be finished. That’s my best guess.

These days, political choices are all about “dog whistles” and “tropes.” Offense is all that matters. Reason is nothing.

The public is like a woman. You can’t tell most women the truth. You can’t say, “Yes, you could lose a few pounds.” You can’t forget a birthday or anniversary. You can’t say vegans are insane or that “organic” doesn’t actually mean anything. You have to walk on eggs. Speaking the truth is like stepping on a land mine. Doesn’t matter if you’re patient and kind. Doesn’t matter what you sacrifice to make her happy. She will prefer the guy who calls her a perfect princess and buys her flowers once a week while spending her inheritance and keeping busy with a stable of sluts.

I think Trump’s interview will be all we will hear about this week, and so many Americans will buy into the smear, he will never recover. If I’m wrong, I’ll buy you a knish.

Trump was a powerful ally of the church, Jews, and Israel. He was a blessing from God, even if he owned casinos, cheated on his wives, lied about inconsequential things, and slept with a film prostitute. We turned him down for silly reasons and chose a shuffling, mumbling, low-IQ dotard who is presiding over the self-destruction of our nation. I believe this latest kerfuffle will do more to seal our fate than Trump’s.

Remember what life was like two years ago, under Trump? Man, I miss those days. I thought things were bad, but I had no idea how bad they could get.

If I’m still on Earth in a year, I expect to say pretty much the same thing.

Fact-Checker’s New Mission: Debunking Reality

I saw something in the news that demonstrates how the truth has gotten lost. The government of Oaxaca, which is apparently part of Mexico, sent a disturbing statue to the United Nations complex, and oddly, it looked exactly like one of the beasts in the book of Revelation. Snopes, a leftist-controlled fact-checking (oxymoronic phrase) website looked into it, applied its staff’s knowledge of Biblical prophecy, and concluded the statue did not, in fact, resemble the beast.

Of course…it does. Why else would I be writing this?

I’ll post a photo of the statue. It’s fair use.

As you can see, it’s a big cat with oversized jaws, wings, and big feet. It’s very tacky. Bad art. Worse than a painting of Elvis hugging Santa Claus on black velvet.

What kind of cat would you say it looks like? A lion? A tiger? A jaguar? The answer is that it could be any of them. The long muzzle makes it look a little like a lion. The long body resembles a lion, tiger, or leopard, but not a jaguar.

It’s supposed to be a winged jaguar. Of course, there is no way to guess that. It’s not shaped like a real jaguar, and the coloration doesn’t help.

Where is a beast like this mentioned in the Bible? You can find it in the Revelation and Daniel.

Here is what the Revelation says, in chapter 13:

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

The statue does not have seven heads or ten horns, and the Revelation beast doesn’t have wings. It does have the basic shape of a leopard, however, and its mouth is somewhat like a lion’s.

Strangely, Snopes doesn’t quote the book of Revelation in its bizarre analysis.

Here is an incredible quotation from a Snopes-employed theologist:

This claim is largely based on a biblical passage from the Book of Revelation in which the prophet Daniel speaks of a vision in which he saw “four great beasts.” Daniel says that the first beast “was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle.”

The Snopes crew thinks the Revelation was written by Daniel. Right away, you can see there are problems with their credibility. As most Christians know, the full name of the Revelation in the King James Bible is The Revelation of St. John the Divine. It was written shortly before the end of the first century A.D. (I love typing “A.D.” instead of “C.E.”)

Daniel was born in the 6th century B.C., and his work appears in the Old Testament, which was completed hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus. Every New Testament book was written after Jesus’ death, which–I can’t believe I have to point this out–occurred circa 30 A.D.

How can a fact-checker not be aware of these things? How can any educated person not be aware? I’m not a Muslim, but I know Mohammed lived in the 7th century. I know the Book of Mormon was written (twice) in the 1800’s. Every American over the age of 12, regardless of religion, should know basic facts about Western history.

Snopes also calls Daniel a prophet. Christians agree with that, but Jews don’t. It looks like Snopes didn’t check.

Here is what Daniel saw, as recorded in the 7th chapter of DANIEL, not The Revelation of Daniel:

The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.

So what do we have here? A beast which is “like” a lion. Not necessarily a lion. And it has eagle’s wings. In other words, exactly like the statue.

Daniel was not a zoologist, and the creature he saw was not a lion, anyway. It was a manifestation of a powerful evil spirit. It looked “like” a lion, so the UN’s beast fits the description perfectly.

Snopes can be wrong. I hate to shock people. Sometimes fact-checking is really fact-shaping, and Snopes apparently has pretty low standards for staff hires.

I’m going to have to rate this story FALSE.

There is more to this. Daniel’s beast loses its wings. That makes it more similar to John’s beast, which has no wings. Maybe they represent the same spirit. I don’t claim to know.

Daniel didn’t say his beast had seven heads and ten horns, and the UN’s beast doesn’t have these features. Of course, if the wings can come off, as Daniel said they did, maybe some of the heads can come off, too. Or maybe Daniel and John were talking about two different beasts.

Snopes, as the authoritative fact-checker, goes on to prove that John’s beast was not really a beast in the Christian end-time sense. It says, “the beast in the biblical passage (which is referred to as a lion, not a jaguar) is generally thought to represent a kingdom.” Here, Snopes sheds its infallibility with two errors. The Bible says the beast is “like” a lion, as I stated above. It doesn’t say it was a lion. Jaguars are like lions. It also presents one interpretation of the beast’s nature as authoritative, which it is not.

Snopes cites a guy named Safwat Marzouk. He studied and served at liberal universities, and he’s a Huffpo contributor. Liberal theologians generally are not actual theologians. A theologian is a person who studies God. Most liberal theologians are just secular scholars who study religion. It’s not like they go around healing people or prophesying. There are atheist theologians.

Here is part of a blurb about one of Marzouk’s books:

Safwat Marzouk offers a biblical vision for what it means to be an intercultural church, one that fosters just diversity, integrates different cultural articulations of faith and worship, and embodies an alternative to the politics of assimilation and segregation.

People who actually know God don’t write books like this. They tell people how to be saved, how to pray, how to be healed, how to cast out demons, and so on. Marzouk is not the kind of person God anoints to interpret scripture. Scripture can only be illuminated by the Holy Spirit, as seen in the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch. The guy who wrote the Snopes article doesn’t know that story.

I assume Marzouk isn’t the authority who told Snopes Daniel wrote the Revelation. Even if his understanding of scripture is carnal and wrong, he must have some idea what the Bible says. After all, becoming a Bible expert is easy. You only have to understand one book. I assume Marzouk knows the Bible from cover to cover.

Snopes also says, “this statue was created to depict a ‘guardian of peace and security,’ not an apocalyptic monster.” This shows that the person who wrote this article is completely unfamiliar with Christianity. The Revelation isn’t about monsters. It’s not Jurassic Park. How could the writer take it upon himself to write something so silly without making even a cursory effort to learn about his subject material?

The Revelation isn’t always literal. Often, the figures in the book represent other things. I don’t think humanity will ever see a giant winged cat pop out of the ocean. No Christian expects that. Maybe the spirit the cat represents actually looks like a cat in the spirit realm, and maybe it doesn’t, but the Revelation doesn’t say anything about actual monsters running around causing physical destruction by physical means. The spirits in the Revelation take many forms, but there is no reason to think they will take those forms in the physical world. For example, Jesus appears as a slaughtered lamb in the Revelation. I very much doubt he will appear on Earth as a sheep.

As for the statue representing a guardian of peace and security, again, the writer has no idea what Christians believe. Just like Jesus, we believe all other religions are evil. The fact that a person of another religion offers us something he claims is some of pagan remedy or protection doesn’t mean we believe what he says is correct.

Yoga is Hinduism. People who push yoga say its purpose is to make us healthier and more relaxed. That’s the pagan claim. The Christian view is that Hinduism was inspired by Satan and that Yoga can lead to demonic oppression and damnation. Jews pay rabbis for amulets and charms to help them with various problems. They’re supposed to help. The Christian view is that demons accompany amulets and charms and bring people curses. I could list more examples, but the point is obvious. A statue that resembles an evil spirit mentioned in the Bible, which comes with a benign alternative explanation provided by people who worship vile spirits, is not a surprise to us. We expect things like that, and we don’t give any weight to claims from people we know to be deluded.

Mexicans who worship evil beings may think the statue represents a benevolent spirit, but to Christians, their beliefs are repugnant and false. A world leader will arise, and the Bible calls him the beast. It makes perfect sense that a statue sent by well-meaning pagans would actually honor Satan and give him a stronger foothold in a complex dedicated to one-world government.

The UN will presumably be the beast’s seat, at least at first. It’s no surprise he would be honored with a statue there. It’s appropriate.

If Christianity is correct, every other religion is a path to damnation, and people of other religions serve Satan whether they know it or not. Expecting Christians to accept the judgments of people we consider demon-worshipers is proof of ignorance.

To me, the statue looks like a threat and a warning. It says, “I’m almost here. You have already lost.”

My wife noted that the statue is decorated with a rainbow of colors. Can that be a coincidence? The beast will love sexual perversion. He will tell the world we don’t need a God who tells kind, loving people what they can do in their own bedrooms. This will be one of the beast’s major appeals. The world is crying out for a god who approves of sexual sin. It’s the main reason people hate the real God.

It’s pretty obvious that Snopes made no effort at all to learn about Christianity or the feelings Christians have about the statue. The mission wasn’t to disseminate truth or debunk lies. It was to discredit Christians and portray us as superstitious rubes. The truth doesn’t matter any more. Oddly, leftists, who are more deceived than anyone, think conservatives and Christians are the worst liars and dupes. In fact, the only people who know or care about the truth are Christians.

I’m not saying most Christians know or care about the truth; just that the people who do are Christians.

The Bible is correct. God is real. Jesus Christ is God. The Holy Spirit and his gifts are real. Miracles are real. Prophecy is real. There are too many witnesses to deny any of these things.

This week, my wife told me about a vision she had. A friend of hers has a girlfriend, and the girlfriend has a younger sister. The friend is a heavy-duty charismatic Christian. He made the mistake of letting the girlfriend and her sister move in with him.

My wife dreamed she saw a woman fighting her daughter. The daughter wanted to do destroy someone, and the mother was trying to prevent her. They were striking each other with some kind of supernatural energy. Both went down, but only the daughter got up. She regained her strength, but the mother didn’t.

After this, my wife saw the mother with her two daughters. They were very young. She was dedicating them to Satan. He appeared as a silver snake with the head of a lizard. He accepted both daughters, but he was more interested in the younger one because he wanted to make her powerful.

Next, my wife saw a notebook with someone’s name on it. She saw the middle initial “M.” When the notebook was opened, she saw a purple flower printed inside it.

She called her friend and asked him a couple of things. She wanted to know if anyone in the house owned a notebook like that. He said the younger sister had one just like it. She then asked what the girl’s middle name was. He said it was Mary.

Their mother doesn’t live with them. She is bedridden, like the mother in the vision.

My wife told her friend the girls and their mother practiced witchcraft. So far, he doesn’t believe her.

My wife hadn’t seen the notebook before, and she didn’t know the girl’s middle initial. She didn’t do a cold reading, either. It’s not like she said something like, “Does the letter ‘M’ mean anything to you?”, and the friend said, “It’s my girlfriend’s sister’s middle initial.”

If you don’t know what a cold reading is, you should look it up. A cold reading can make anyone look psychic to gullible people. You ask vague questions. When you get affirmative responses, you ask follow-up questions. When you get a negative answer, you ignore it and ask a different question. When you hit, you pursue it. Most people will only remember your correct guesses. This is not what my wife did. God showed her the notebook and the girl’s middle initial, not to mention her family’s involvement with witchcraft.

The story shows that the supernatural is real. God and Satan are real, and so are the gifts of the Spirit. Universities are full of people who think they know more about Christianity than actual Christians. They think real Christians are like adults who believe in the tooth fairy. It’s unfortunate their pride is taking them to hell. It’s even sadder that other people listen to them while discounting legitimate testimony from millions of reliable witnesses.

You should never listen to “rational” secular sources when it comes to Christianity. Their nutty theories always fall apart, usually because they are concocted by people who are driven by the irrational, emotion-based urge to debunk Christianity. Example: James Cameron once claimed he had found the tomb and ossuary of Jesus, and by that, he meant an ossuary his bones remained in after he died. An inscription said the ossuary was inscribed, “Jesus son of Joseph,” and other ossuaries in the tomb indicated Joseph’s wife was Mary. Worse, there was an ossuary for the son of Jesus. Problem: other ossuaries with the “Jesus son of Joseph” exist, and Jesus can’t be in all of them. Jesus and Joseph were very common Jewish names in the first century, and Mary was even more common.

It’s as though Cameron were looking to prove an American grave belonging to a man named John Smith, son of Jim Smith and Mary Smith, belonged to a particular John Smith, without any other corroborating information.

Non-Christian Bible scholars have a long history of being proven wrong, but Christians have a long history of being fooled by them.

It may be that spirits influenced the Mexicans who made the trashy statue. Maybe the spirits want to get the UN ready for the beast, and the Mexicans have no idea they’re being used. On the other hand, maybe it’s just an ugly statue that has nothing to do with prophecy. One thing is certain: Snopes is wrong. The statue does look like the creature Daniel mentioned.

And Daniel didn’t write the Revelation.

Where can you find real truth when the people who claim to define it publish fake truth? Snopes isn’t alone. Journalists have become extremely unreliable, and other fact-checking organizations get debunked all the time. The world is sinking in a sea of deception. Paradoxically, we are inundated with more information than ever, but important truths are harder to find than they were in the past, and the falsehoods people believe are less plausible and more tightly held.

I’m glad I know the Holy Spirit. I wonder what absurd misconceptions would be dear to me if I didn’t. Maybe I would seriously believe Chaz Bono is a man. I hope I’m not on Earth long enough to get that crazy.

Time to Buy Mountain Real Estate

Today I learned about the newest imminent threat to human survival: the Thwaites Glacier.

A glacier is a river of ice, more or less. It sits on land, and it moves slowly downhill and into the nearest body of water. The Thwaites Glacier is an England-sized glacier in Antarctica, and it seems to be melting and becoming less stable. I just saw a hysterical news report attributing the melting to global warming and claiming the glacier’s collapse could raise sea levels by 3 meters (10 feet).

The reporter, one Palki Sharma of India’s World is One News service, says this is a “projection,” not a possibility. Unfortunately for her credibility, it is neither.

I own property that is probably less than 10 feet above sea level, so when I saw the story, I (unlike most people) decided to find out what was going on. I looked at Wikipedia, which certainly gets its share of contributions from millennial environment-crazed leftists. No mention of an impending catastrophe. I found a website devoted to the glacier. Still nothing. Finally, I found a BBC report, quoting researchers. Guess what? The actual projection is 65 centimeters, and such a rise is not expected for “many centuries.”

Is the BBC losing its wokeness? Of course not. It’s controlled by leftists. If the BBC is optimistic about any environmental issue, you can bet the scientific consensus is on the same page.

I saw an Internet comment attributing the glacier’s problems to something other than global warming, and I found out the comment was correct. Guess what’s under the glacier? New volcanic activity, along with the heat it brings. This appears to be the main reason the ice is melting.

Someone help me understand how cow flatulence and wonderful Western lifestyles like mine contribute to changes in volcanic activity. I would really like to see the Powerpoint.

Palki Sharma thinks we need immediate action to prevent the world from going under the waves. She wants a drastic cut in emissions. It’s sad that a journalist people listen to is willing to issue opinions concerning engineering and science, which could affect the prosperity of billions of people, without making a responsible effort to learn the truth.

She thinks a disastrous change in the glacier’s seaward end will happen within the next 5 years, so she believes we need to get rid of emissions right away. It makes me wonder what she studied in school. No STEM person with any sense would say such a thing.

Assuming global warming is significant and caused by human activity, which is a huge assumption, if human beings quit giving off CO2 right now, the world’s climate wouldn’t change much at all during the next 5 years. Even wacked-out vegan scientists admit that. They say change takes decades. If the glacier is going to open up within 5 years, there is nothing we can do to stop it.

Why didn’t she look into this? My guess: political science degree. History, maybe. Or, and it pains me to write it, communications. The major people flock to when they can’t wrap their heads around basket weaving.

Her network is all about promoting India at the expense of China, Russia, and America. Why, then, would she carelessly promote a move that would keep India weak and poor? India needs modernization. It’s very backward. It doesn’t even have a good power grid. Indian machine tool companies still make lathes built to run off flat belts connected to overhead shafts turned by steam engines. Everyone else abandoned these maybe 110 years ago. If India can’t make CO2 in large amounts while it steps up its game, it will never be a prosperous modern nation.

Is the goal to bring other countries down to India’s pitiable level?

I’m starting to wonder if World is One News is like the Epoch Times and RT, which are primarily political instruments. Maybe it’s not a journalistic organization. Maybe the whole point of its existence is to spread propaganda to undermine large countries that have interests adverse to India’s.

I have to wonder how many sacred, useless cattle there are in India. Is Palki Sharma willing to have them slaughtered in order to stop climate change? That would go over big.

As for the best-known disaster currently in the news, it’s looking like I may have been right about the Omicron variant. South African scientists say it still appears to be a very mild disease, and it’s so common, it has been found in sewer water less than 100 miles from me, in a little city in Central Florida. If it’s in the sewers of lazy Central Florida, it’s in people all over the world. If it’s this widespread, and the mild symptoms hold up, it will be a huge blessing. Better to get the sniffles and gain immunity to future infections than to get Delta and risk serious problems. Omicron could “vaccinate” millions of people who would otherwise refuse to be vaccinated, and that could be very helpful.

I’ll make another SWAG about Omicron. It will turn out to be much more common than they think it is. I learned that ordinary tests don’t distinguish Delta from Omicron, so presumably, there are a huge number of cases that haven’t been identified. The Omicron wave has already started in America and many other places. It’s not coming; it’s here.

Last week, Zambia was having something like 15 new coronavirus cases per week. My wife in Lusaka says they’re about to tell the world they found 400 today or yesterday. That can’t be the Delta variant, because it has been all over Zambia for months. It came and went. Omicron is the only obvious explanation.

Florida just went from about 1500 cases per day to around 4000. That’s not Delta. No way. Delta peaked in late August, and there is no reason why it should come back. About 2500 of those cases must be Omicron.

To me, it all adds up to a helpful, highly contagious variant that will displace strains that are more harmful, while increasing our immunity.

The big question is what the next variant will be like. Delta was worse than Alpha. Omicron is much better than both. Will Pi be a killer or another coronavirus cold?

As a person who picks up useless trivia, I know that viruses generally become nicer as they mutate, but recent reading tells me they sometimes get meaner.

It looks like scientists are fairly sure of one thing: we will be getting new strains forever, just like we get new flu strains, so repeat vaccinations will be a fact of life unless covid mutates permanently into a series of viruses that don’t make us very sick.

Whatever the future holds regarding new variants, I am pretty pleased with Omicron. Maybe next week we’ll start seeing a lot of deaths, and I’ll be sorry I wrote that.

Final apocalypse-related note: my friend Mike persuaded me to listen to Brian Williams, the NBC journalist who got in trouble for serial lying. NBC didn’t fire him, which is a shame. He kept broadcasting, and as you probably know, he just quit. He made a weird announcement about his concerns for America’s future.

Mike told me to listen to him instead of reading abbreviated quotations, so I gritted my teeth and did as instructed. I still don’t know what Williams is talking about.

He claims he is neither liberal nor conservative, but an institutionalist. I looked that word up, and it means nearly nothing. Something about respecting established forms, especially with regard to religion. Maybe he needs some help figuring out what he is. Here I am to save the day, a la Mighty Mouse: he’s a liberal. Maybe he thinks he’s not because he’s somewhat more certain of his gender than many of his colleagues, but he is. Go read up on his history.

He says politicians want to burn America down with us inside it, in spite of their educations. What does that mean? Mike thought he was talking about the Deep State, implying his hands were tied by it. I didn’t get that sense at all. I assume it will turn out Williams is talking about conservatives who dare to go to rallies and support the Second Amendment and so on. I think he’s still on a January 6 kick. I’ll bet he’s thinking about people like Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene. I very much doubt he’s concerned about BLM’s riots, murders, and arson, or about Antifa’s, or about the armed gangs of racist looters that are taking over retail areas in leftist-controlled cities. I don’t think he’s concerned about leftist politicians who did away with cash bail, support BLM and Antifa, refuse to prosecute violent thieves, and pretend black-on-corporate looting isn’t happening.

I still maintain that 1/6 was a much smaller deal than it was made out to be. Leftists love to say it was an insurrection, as though we nearly saw overloaded helicopters ferrying survivors off the Capitol dome. An insurrection is the attempted replacement of one government with another, and it requires a plan, armed troops, and a lot of support. January 6 was a bunch of unarmed halfwits who got excited about election fraud and decided they could do what leftist rioters had done elsewhere without consequences. January 6 was the political equivalent of streaking at the Super Bowl. They thought they could protest inside a building belonging to the federal government and get away with it. They didn’t bargain on Congress’s horror at seeing its lax first-stage security overrun and exposed, or on the difference between occupying a federal building in Portland and occupying the one Congress uses, or on the pro-left bias of the courts.

They probably thought they could briefly interrupt the processing of the election results, but there is no way they could have believed they were going to undo the election or mount a coup.

No one–not even a truly stupid individual–could expect to overthrow the government by having a few giddy, selfie-taking protestors run amok in the Capitol. D.C. has a police force armed with machine guns. We have an army, too. Everyone knows these things.

The violence and casualties of the riot were grossly overstated. If you died from atherosclerosis during the riot, two blocks away, you were considered a casualty. It didn’t begin to assume the same scale as mostly-peaceful violence perpetrated by leftist groups.

Let’s see what Williams is saying a month from now. I think “institutionalist” will turn out to mean something a lot like “socialist.” Place your bets.

Of course, if you live near the ocean, you may not be around to see what happens. Not if Palki Sharma is right.

I feel that the end of the age is closer than ever. I wouldn’t be surprised if God took his people away by Christmas. Insanity is the norm now. Demonic activity is off the charts. I don’t think anyone still expects life to return to normal. We have the feeling we’re waiting for something else, but most people don’t know what it is.

Keep Your Presidents; I Want a King

It’s very confusing, distinguishing apostles from nutbars.

A year or two back, I came across a guy who was healing people on Youtube. He wasn’t faking it. He didn’t take money for what he did, and he healed pretty unlikely people. He healed Muslims, for example.

I thought he was a good guy to keep an eye on. Then he started saying Donald Trump was going to be reinstated this year. He claimed Trump had dissolved the government, and somehow, he had concealed it from everyone. Biden, in particular, seemed to be unaware of the news.

Now he says God is going to bring Trump back as a king.

I think when you make an extremely confident prediction, and it goes nowhere, you should sit on the sidelines and try to figure out what’s wrong. You shouldn’t fire up your Gopro and make new predictions.

It’s strange that a person who is clearly deluded can also use God’s power to heal.

The bizarre thing is, he’s right about some things. He said some things I agree with. He says God doesn’t like democracy.

I used to think democracy was great. I know we have a republic, not a democracy, but let’s not be pedantic. I thought it was obvious that the people should be able to determine the course of their nation. I had that idea hammered into me from day one, and I didn’t question it, any more than I questioned the assertion that America was the greatest country in the world.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve soured on democracy. It’s a form of government not much unlike allowing small children to decide who gets to drive the school bus. Most people are too ignorant, unfair, and selfish to vote correctly.

A quotation from an unknown author reads, “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largesse out of the public treasury.” That’s a little over the top, or at least it was, before America lost its collective mind, but it’s correct in principle. Way too many people vote for their own short-term, narrow interests. This has always been true, but as we descend into childishness and spite, it is becoming more true than ever.

As people who read this blog know, I believe the Antichrist will have a body, just like Jesus. The body of Jesus is supposed to be a large group of people guided by the Holy Spirit. The Antichrist’s body is a group guided by the flesh, the Internet, and, ultimately, Satan. Anyone who isn’t ruled by the Holy Spirit is ruled by Satan. The body of the Antichrist is a mob, ruled by the lowest, most immoral people in the world.

The body of the Antichrist has the appearance of a democracy, because it has a grassroots look to it. We are told it’s democratic. We are told the poor and the voiceless have come together and worked it out so their movements carry out the orders of the masses. This isn’t true, however. Satan rules demons. Demons rule people who are controlled by the flesh. When those people get together and vote on things, they’re not really trying to impose their own will. They’re doing what Satan has told them to do.

When a nation allows every adult to vote, it gives Satan power. It allows demons to shape election results.

In the Bible, we see mobs voting for evil, over and over. Before Noah, a mob of angels came down, conspired against God, and impregnated women, and the world became so corrupt, God killed the human race. In Lot’s day, a mob of homosexuals surrounded Lot’s house and tried to gang-rape two archangels, as well as Lot himself. In Exodus, a mob defied Moses, who was God’s representative, and chose to worship an idol. A mob voted for Israel to be ruled by kings instead of priests and prophets, and as a result, Israel was put under Saul, a man who lost his mind along with God’s favor. The Hebrews ended up with a divided kingdom, lost tribes, and a long succession of feeble, crooked kings who brought them defeat, captivity, the diaspora, and the Holocaust.

A mob in Nazareth tried to throw the Messiah off a cliff for announcing his arrival. A mob in Jerusalem tried to stone him to death. Another mob voted for his murder and got the Romans to do what they couldn’t do. Various mobs tormented the apostles. At least one apostle was killed to please the masses.

God lets people vote, but it doesn’t mean he supports democracy. It means he supports free will. He lets us choose to destroy ourselves and our nations, but he wants us to let him rule us.

After I watched the Youtube guy, I got some revelation.

If a nation has to vote in order to decide what to do, it means its people don’t know the truth. If they were hearing from God, they would be in one accord. They would hear his truth and know what to do. Voting is conflict resolution. It shows a nation is in conflict; a house divided. No one establishes a method of conflict resolution unless there is conflict. Jesus said, correctly, that a house divided could not stand. It can’t survive forever.

Jesus is the prince of peace. Peace is nothing but harmony born of agreement. Agreement only comes through the Spirit of Holiness. All other forms of agreement are faulty. Many people think Satan’s kingdom is united, but that isn’t true. Satan is a mutineer. Mutineers never have peace. Those under them always strive to supplant them, because mutineers don’t have authority or the fear it commands. The spirits that serve Satan aren’t loyal. They hate him and want to take his place. The Bible says, “The wicked flee when none pursue.”

The Youtube guy pointed out that God is a king, not an elected leader. He said we pray for God’s kingdom to come, not his democracy. The Bible calls Jesus the king of kings, not the king of presidents. The Bible says God’s children are a nation of priests and kings, not prime ministers.

The Bible says there will be a thousand-year reign on the earth after the tribulation. During that time, Jesus will be here in person, as both God and king. He will have believers ruling under him, and they will also be kings. They won’t be elected by ignorant mobs who only think of themselves. They’ll be anointed by God himself.

We should have theocracy, guided by the Holy Spirit. God offered us that, and through the Jews, we turned it down. After that, they got the second-best form of rule: kingdoms. God anointed kings to rule. Eventually, human beings started killing their kings and giving power to elected legislators and executives. It was a step backward.

“Democracy” means “rule by the people.” That, alone, should convince us it’s a bad idea. It shows the hand of the Antichrist at work, but almost nobody understands how his kingdom works, so Americans think it’s smart to be ruled by our people.

We still have a king. Unfortunately, his name is Satan. The monarchical system can’t really be escaped.

Democracy is leftism. American conservatives don’t like to hear that, because they think they own democracy, but it’s true. American conservatives are really leftists in history’s long view. Three hundred years ago, few questioned the legitimacy of monarchy as a system of government. The people who brought the kings down were leftists. They were “progressive.” Real conservatives believed their kings were anointed by God, so they tried to keep them in power. They thought leftism was rebellion against God himself, and it was.

Now when a nation like America selects rulers, the candidates have to pander to absolute idiots who have no idea how the world works. They have to pacify socialists, anti-white racists, women (who vote for chaos all the time), perverts, and even those who want to let unvetted aliens come in and take what we have. A king would not have to be so accommodating.

The American Revolution was a huge mistake. We like to think it was about the crown’s abuses, but the British were also abused back in England. For example, the British Navy was made up largely of white slaves who were hanged if they tried to escape. The British forced people to go to America as indentured servants. The British lived in terror of the royals. The punishments for treason were the stuff of horror movies. The British were still burning criminals alive after our revolution.

The American Revolution was about money and power. Let’s be honest. America was rich in resources, it was full of slaves who provided free labor, and it presented a great opportunity for people who were not nobles or able to serve in Parliament to form their own nation and occupy high office.

Canada and Australia didn’t fight the British. They ended up prosperous. We could have gone the same way.

If we hadn’t rebelled, slavery in America might have ended in 1833, when it was abolished in England. We might never have had the Civil War, which caused the deaths of around 700,000 Americans. We might not have had the North’s abuses during the postwar era. We might not have had the South’s reprisals against freed slaves, which still contribute to racial friction. The South might have been just as prosperous as the North, and today, we might not have the strong North/South antagonism that is working to fuel a second civil war.

If the colonists had stood by their king, the empire might have remained united and powerful much longer. Maybe America and Canada would have remained parts of the UK. If that had happened, would it have been necessary for the US to enter World War Two? Hitler wasn’t afraid to invade England, but would he have felt that way had England had well over a hundred million subjects across the ocean, in a country full of factories, farms, oil, coal, and other resources?

Maybe the combined might of Great Britain, North America, and Australia would have discouraged him.

If we had stayed together, we would have had a gigantic internal market with no trade barriers. Wouldn’t that have made us wealthier?

Maybe George III really was anointed by God. If he was, we should have worked with him.

I’m all done with democracy. I will take part in it because I want to be a good citizen and because I have no choice, but it’s a stupid form of government, and it’s destroying us.

If we absolutely have to have elections, women should stay home, and the right to vote should be limited to intelligent, informed, law-abiding people who have assets. You should have something to lose so you can understand how important government’s actions are. If you’ve never been anything but a burden, you shouldn’t be allowed to vote for the government to give you other people’s wealth.

I hope my understanding of prophecy is right. I hope the rapture and tribulation will be followed by a millennium during which Earth will be ruled by a perfect, omnipotent king. The Biden disaster serves to sharpen the yearning.

Let’s not Let 10,000 Dead Bodies Ruin a Good Grift

Let’s recap. What are the three hostile spirits that will be released before the tribulation? Death, famine, and murder. They cover a lot of ground. Death includes disease and wild animal attacks, for example.

What are we going through right now? A global pestilence, shortages, and an astounding outpouring of hatred and crime.

Today, newspapers (Is that term appropriate any more?) are reporting that 12 big American cities have record murder rates. Not records for this decade, century, or millennium. All-time records.

Let’s look at the list, which comes from the notorious right-wing smear outfit, ABC.

Albuquerque: 82
Austin: 60
Baton Rouge: 137
Columbus: 179
Indianapolis: 246
Louisville: 175
Portland: 72
Philadelphia: 523
Rochester: 71
St. Paul: 35
Toledo: 62
Tucson: 80

This is a misleading list, because it only includes all-time records. Chicago is leading the country right now with 753 murders, which, remarkably, is not a record. New York is at 443. It’s also misleading because the year isn’t over yet. We have about three weeks to go, and it’s looting season because Christmas is coming up. Finally, the list doesn’t include smaller, but still large, cities.

The New York Post notes that all of these cities have leftist mayors. That’s pretty shocking. Who would have guessed?

What they’re not telling you: for the most part, this is an epidemic of murders committed against black people. Most American homicides (a term which includes killings that are not murders) are committed by black people, and black people who murder overwhelmingly choose other blacks as their victims. Cities have big concentrations of black people. It’s also important to note that black women are more likely than anyone else to be murdered.

Oddly, no one is marching or painting streets over this. There is no movement called “Black Women Matter.” We have people wearing shirts that say, “All Cops are Bastards,” but we don’t see, “Civilians who Murder 10,000 Black People per Year are Bastards.” No one on the left cares much about black women or black murder victims in general. They’re just enjoying pushing the police around.

Fewer than 1 in 40 of the roughly 10,000 black homicide victims 2021 will produce will have been shot by the police, and nearly all of the police shootings will turn out to be justified, even in the eyes of black witnesses. Strangely, the police are perceived to be the problem.

Human beings are amazing. “Never mind the floods and landslides. My faucet is dripping.”

For some reason which is subject to debate, societal ills tend to hit black areas first and then spread to the rest of America. I think the spirit of murder will work this way. Americans are already filled with partisan hate, and leftists, in particular, are more than willing to rise up and kill the rest of us. The Internet is like a virtual hell, in which people vomit up their vilest expressions of loathing and cruelty, and when people let hate drive their speech, they are likely to let it drive their behavior later. I expect large armed skirmishes to start popping up before long, and after that, we can expect a state of guerrilla warfare, at least in cities and suburbs; every area near a leftist-dominated city. Leftists will form mobs to punish the “privileged,” and everyone else will respond in kind, having no choice.

I have been wondering why leftists congregate in cities, and I think it must be because life is so easy in cities. Cities hand everything to you. You have no yard to maintain, you never have to travel far to get food, and there are all sorts of people who dedicate their lives to helping you. In the country, you really have to know what you’re doing. No one is going to come take care of you.

Leftists feel everyone else owes them a lot, so it’s natural that they like cities.

I think there are more demons on earth than there were a few years back. If God has released three great spirits to hurt us, then those spirits have other spirits working for them. Demons spread delusion and anger, among other things. I think demons are what cause people to believe the facially absurd myths they subscribe to now. You can’t think a man is a woman without supernatural help. You can’t think a few unjustified police shootings are a big deal, while completely ignoring thousands of murders, unless something external has warped your perception.

I no longer have any doubt that the apocalypse has started. The Bible shows that it starts before the rapture and tribulation. The apocalypse is a process involving multiple events.

I don’t think hate and murder are going away. I am confident covid is here to stay as well, although the Omicron variant’s characteristics make me wonder if covid will continue to be a major threat to life. Maybe a worse disease will hit soon, or maybe there will be a much nastier variant of coronavirus.

Shortages are now routine, and they seem to jump out of nowhere to bite us. I have no reason to think they’ll get anything but worse.

Speaking of men who are alleged to be women, I read that a man on a women’s college swim team has been setting women’s world records. I guess I should grieve, but I can’t help finding it funny. You can’t grieve continuously. A guy named Lia Thomas, at an Ivy League school where everyone else swims slowly, is rewriting the books. He beat a competitor by 38 seconds, which is, I am sorry to say it, hilarious. He literally had time to get out of the pool, dry off, grab a Gatorade, take a seat, and watch the real girls finish the race.

This news is upsetting a lot of people, but I say may he go to the Olympics and sweep the golds in every event he can manage to participate in. Let’s not even stop with swimming. Let’s put him on the women’s track team. Let’s have him box. He might do really well. May others like him obliterate every women’s sports record. I look forward to a day when every women’s UFC competitor is a man, and actual women are afraid to compete.

Why would I say these things? Because the pimple needs to come to a head. Leftism bears putrid, diseased fruit, and society needs to see it. Also, I dislike spectator sports because they are destructive to Christianity. No one seems to understand the hostile relationship between spectator sports and Christianity, but it has a very long history. I’d love to see every spectator sport destroyed. More steroids! More cheating! More eunuchs! Let’s get this over with.

Where are the tennis eunuchs? Serena Williams needs to be exposed as a fraud. I guarantee you, there are male athletes out there who are willing to take hormones and drive her off the court. I want to see them get out there. What are they waiting for? They could become millionaires instead of settling for jobs as low-paid club pros. Castration can take you from mediocre male to world-class female, and no one can stop you if you want to do it. The courts will protect you. Fans will cheer you; even the ones who secretly feel sick to their stomachs. They will be too afraid not to.

There are no known pro tennis eunuchs on the tour now, but people my age recall one. His name is Renee Richards. He was a journeyman male pro in the 1950’s. Then he must have listened to too many Helen Reddy records, because he had himself castrated and started competing with female tennis pros.

You may think he proves eunuchs won’t ruin women’s tennis, because Renee Richards didn’t become a Wimbledon champion. Of course they will. Richards competed as a woman two decades after he competed as a man! He was over the hill, and he still made it to the women’s doubles final. He was ranked in the top 20 when he was middle-aged.

Richards himself now admits it isn’t fair for eunuchs to play women. He has said,””Having lived for the past 30 years, I know if I’d had surgery at the age of 22, and then at 24 went on the tour, no genetic woman in the world would have been able to come close to me. And so I’ve reconsidered my opinion.”

I can’t wait to see more men out there. The truth needs to be made clear.

In other news, I succumbed to temptation and got myself a used Ronco Showtime rotisserie oven. I found it on Ebay. It looks like it has never been turned on.

I couldn’t restrain myself. I started thinking about rib roasts. The one thing a non-rotating oven can’t seem to match is the crust a rotisserie puts on all sides of a roast. Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like the $70 I’m betting is a reasonable risk.

I could have bought a new Showtime, but they just don’t sound good. They turn too slow, and people say they’re flimsy. The old ones are Korean, which says a lot for Ron Popeil, who could have gone Chinese right from the start. The South Koreans make wonderful things. The new ovens are from China, so no one should be surprised if there are issues.

I’ll probably use it about once a year, but it will be a good tool to have on those rare occasions when a rotisserie is the best option.

I think I can quit adding food equipment for a while. My kitchen isn’t perfect, but you can make nearly anything in it without wishing you had one more tool.

Thank God I don’t like high-temperature hipster pizza, which requires a special oven. If I did, one more expenditure would be imminent.

The World Prefers the Disease to the Cure

It’s surprising how hard it is to find out where the Omicron variant has taken hold in the US. I had to do several searches and compare results. Here is the most up-to-date list of states I was able to locate:

California
Colorado
Connecticut
Georgia
Hawaii
Louisiana
Maryland
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Missouri
Nebraska
New Jersey
New York
Pennsylvania
Utah
Washington
Wisconsin

I’ll save you some trouble: the number of states is 17. And as you can figure out for yourself, that’s almost exactly one third of our states. Since California, New York, and Pennsylvania are on the list, it’s a large fraction of our population.

Here’s a question to which I have not seen the answer in the press: how good is the world’s ability to test for Omicron? How can we know where it is if we can’t test for it?

It has been less than two weeks since Omicron was reported to WHO (Should I call it “the WHO”?), so can it be possible that every nation in the world now has test kits that distinguish Omicron from Delta?

Another question: does Omicron show up at all on tests that detect the more-familiar variants?

If the old tests don’t pick up Omicron, we may have Omicron all over the place and not know it, especially if it’s mild. A lot of people would get false negatives, and if they weren’t very sick, many others wouldn’t bother getting tested.

If Omicron testing isn’t available everywhere, and Omicron doesn’t show up on the old tests, then a lot of Omicron cases are hidden. If Omicron testing isn’t available everywhere, and Omicron does show up on the old tests with no indication that it’s Omicron, then who knows how many Omicron cases are misidentified as Delta?

You could go nuts listing different factual scenarios and trying to figure out the consequences.

Our leaders, scientists, and journalists are completely incompetent when it comes to presenting facts that help the public understand what’s happening. I assume scientists are thinking about the important questions, because they would have to be really stupid not to, but their logic is not filtering down to you and me. Politicians are generally not smart enough to figure out what’s important, and journalists are even less bright.

Let’s look around the web.

Wikipedia has the answer, or maybe it doesn’t. It says existing PCR tests are able to “detect the variant.” That’s not the answer we need. We don’t just need to know if the tests detect the variant; we need to know whether they distinguish it from other variants. When you say a test detects a variant, you’re not making it clear that it can discriminate. Maybe the old tests tell us coronavirus is present, without saying which kind.

It’s safe to draw a few conclusions. It’s clear the public has no way of knowing where Omicron really is, how many cases there are, and how bad the symptoms are. Science doesn’t know these things yet, so neither do we.

Nothing much is happening in Zambia with any strain of coronavirus. The country is a car ride away from South Africa, but Zambia’s daily case count runs around 1/100 of Florida’s, for about the same population.

The Bible says that if God’s people will pray and repent, he will heal their land. I keep saying I think this is why Christian Africa is doing so well. Their leaders–political leaders, not just preachers–called for prayer. Joe Biden would sooner let Sean Hannity give him a polygraph than tell Americans to pray, especially in the name of Jesus Christ. It will never happen. It would be political suicide. The Democratic Party is firmly against Jesus.

I agree with preachers who say Christians ruined America. I tend to get angry at non-Christians who abuse and slander us. They have taken over our country, and they have made public life disgusting in many places. Still, as I have said before, the primary responsibility is ours. God says he will heal nations if his people pray, not if every citizen prays. We’re not doing it. Even our church leaders aren’t calling for prayer. They refuse to say sin caused the pandemic, which is unquestionably true. They’re terrified of becoming less popular and losing income and power.

We’re not confessing that we caused the pandemic, and we are not repenting and praying as a body. We have been failing in the areas of confession, repentance, and prayer for decades. That’s how we got here.

The church is weak and blind. When people consider coming to us for guidance, what do they see? Christians who can’t prophesy and tell them what their problems are. Christians who can’t heal their diseases or rid them of their sexual aberrations. Christians whose prayers for them don’t produce results. They also see Christians who are more interested in arguing with them and criticizing them than helping them meet God.

We ended up with a homosexuality epidemic because Christians couldn’t help homosexuals change. They couldn’t cast out the spirits involved. There was a time when everyone realized homosexuality was sick and destructive, and people who were suffering from it wanted relief, but we couldn’t do anything for them. No wonder they decided their affliction was natural and normal and that we were the problem. We definitely weren’t the answer.

We ended up with racial and class friction because our churches didn’t connect people with the Holy Spirit, who takes people of different races, nationalities, classes, and religious backgrounds and turns them into brothers and sisters.

I feel I got a revelation about my own relatively inconsequential problems. God told me something I knew already, and it applies to all Christians. We should be harder on phony Christians than we are on people who don’t know God at all. We fall into the trap of focusing on the unpleasant things nonbelievers are doing to us, and we behave as though they’re the big problem. They’re not. We cause our own problems by failing to submit to God. Hostile nonbelievers wouldn’t be able to touch us if we were truly transformed by the Holy Spirit.

We are our own worst enemies, literally, and after that come antagonistic spirits. Human beings are farther down the list. God once told me all my problems were caused by lack of prayer. He didn’t say “heathens.” He didn’t even say “Satan.” He didn’t blame my dysfunctional upbringing in a house of abuse and despair. Lack of prayer was number one. Since I chose not to pray enough, saying lack of prayer caused all my problems implied I caused them myself.

I have to quit letting my annoyance with people who hate Jesus and Christians divert my attention and move me to misplace blame. I have to stop saying things unnecessarily that will drive nonbelievers farther away.

I should be critiquing myself and making a point of laying into horrible, toxic clergymen. People who lie about doctrine and make up testimony in order to get rich need to be exposed. They know exactly what they’re doing, so they don’t deserve patience or mercy. Christians should be telling other people Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, and the other usual suspects are crooks.

I believe God is showing me that the reason I still have nagging sins I sometimes fall into is that I am overly critical of people who are no worse than I am. My failures are intended to remind me that I didn’t save myself. I was contemptible and determined to hold onto my faults. I would have been happy to sink farther into sin, die in blindness, and go to hell had God not intervened and fought with me.

I am too hard on people who don’t know God at all, and I am not hard enough on liars who pretend to know him in order to bleed those who come to them for help.

I believe these things are correct, so I will try to change my behavior. I think this will bring me breakthroughs and make me more useful in helping others. We shall see.

I’m sure I will fail a lot, but my course is more important than my location. Falling isn’t a big deal as long as you continue moving in the right direction when you get up.

The Answer to Covid: the Unicorn Variant and Bizarro Bans?

Next Step: Prohibiting Masks?

We’re in the second week of the Xi Unicorn Omicron variant crisis, and so far, things look pretty good. By pandemic standards. A low bar to clear.

Is it okay to joke about coronavirus? There must be someone out there who is making a career of being offended by covid jokes. There has to be a “coronavirus community.”

So far, covid hasn’t turned out to be like AIDS. You can joke about cancer, diabetes, blindness, amputations, and all venereal diseases other than AIDS, but AIDS jokes are like people who won’t wear masks; they do not fly. AIDS sufferers are treated like heroes, and they even have a strange monument in the form of a quilt, but if you get herpes, people just make fun of you. We live in a world where humor related to a behavior-driven venereal disease is treated like blasphemy, but actual blasphemy is a staple of celebrated comedians.

“MY GRAMMY DIED FROM COVID! SHAME ON YOU!” Hmm. My mother, uncle, and aunt died from cancer, my sister and dad survived cancer, and I still make cancer jokes. Other people’s cancer jokes don’t offend me at all. I knew a guy who was dying of cancer, and he made cancer jokes during the process.

I haven’t noticed much sanctimony related to covid humor. I hope my perception is correct, but even if it’s not, I plan to keep my sense of humor while respecting your right to choose not to have one.

“Respect” is not really the correct word.

Let’s see. Omicron is spreading quickly, and scientists expect it to overtake Delta. So far, only mild cases have been recorded. That sounds like good news. We have been cautioned not to assume Omicron is milder than Delta, but within two or three weeks, the truth will be obvious. Here’s hoping we don’t see death spikes.

I saw that about 100 kids in South Africa had been hospitalized. That sounded bad. In the US, covid barely affects kids, and hospitalizations are very rare. Today I read that the South African children have mild cases. Why are they being hospitalized? Beats me. Quarantine? An abundance of caution? Anyway, the mild-symptom theory is still holding up, but it looks like Omicron doesn’t spare children the way Delta does. It appears lots of kids will catch it and become symptomatic, but we shouldn’t expect severe cases in children.

Hope that’s right. Imagine what life will be like if we start seeing waves of children with tubes down their throats.

It has become obvious that vaccines have no or nearly no effect on Omicron. Omicron is causing high-percentage transmissions among groups with high vaccination rates. That can’t happen when vaccines work. Maybe science can produce an Omicron vaccine, but until it does, don’t expect your old shot to do anything except, perhaps, make your symptoms less severe. Given the facts we have heard so far, with Omicron, such help may not even be needed.

Idiotic travel bans are still increasing. Zambia is now in the crosshairs. Countries that have thousands of cases per day are afraid to admit citizens of countries that have one or two dozen per day. Rhodah and I were hoping to go to France and the Netherlands, but France just slapped a quarantine mandate on Zambians, and I believe the Netherlands is currently banning them.

Day before yesterday, I mentioned the then-little-discussed possibility that Omicron might turn out to be nature’s vaccine, infecting huge numbers of people with a mild illness that would prevent them from having serious cases of a dangerous variant. Now another interesting thought has occurred to me: if Omicron turns out to be a godsend that prevents millions of deaths, will countries start imposing Bizarro travel bans? Will they start asking people from Omicron areas to fly in and spread the helpful variant? Will masks be outlawed?

It might be a great idea. Many people hate vaccines, human beings may never comply in numbers that make sense, and vaccines work poorly against Delta and show no sign of preventing Omicron infections. On the other hand, anti-vaxxers can’t prevent themselves from getting Omicron, which may act as a vaccine against severe covid. Vax-worshipers might start to see Omicron as an ally that can accomplish what their hysterical, irrational, fact-ignoring authoritarianism can’t do: it could sweep through countries and give just about everyone helpful antibodies.

If Omicron can do what St. Anthony of Fauci can’t, why not encourage the spread? It would save a large number of lives while restoring peace. Without a scary variant to be afraid of, the mask and vaccine Gestapo would no longer have any reason to torment people, so the anti-fascist movement (the real one, not Antifa) would have less motivation to protest.

It looks like a moot question, because Omicron doesn’t look like it will pay any attention to our plans. It appears to be poised to spread regardless of what man chooses to do, so my best guess is that by mid-January, we will know whether Omicron is a friend or enemy. By then, it should have spread so well we should have all the data we need.

Whatever happens, we know one thing for sure. Chris Cuomo won’t be reporting on it. I am taking the high road with regard to Corleone jokes.

I would say I was shocked that someone with Cuomo’s intellectual and ethical deficits was ever hired, but that would be ridiculous. This is the press we’re talking about. If government vans ever go around kidnapping brilliant people to crack Chinese codes and improve hypersonic technology, you will never see one stop in front of CNN, the big three, or Fox.

I was surprised to see CNN’s harsh report on Cuomo. After covering for him, they changed course and let him have it. They didn’t mince words. A conservative couldn’t have done better.

It makes sense, though. Why did CNN hire him in the first place? Because they thought he was the next Edward R. Murrow? Of course not. They knew he was inept even by journalist standards. Like Don Lemon, he was hired for what he was, not what he could do. He was the son of a governor and the brother of a governor. He was a nepotism hire. Either his brother and dad pressured employers to advance his career, or companies hired him to curry favor with his family and reward the Cuomos for being politically correct.

People who work with nepotism hires build up resentment, even if they support their hiring in a sort of realpolitik way. It had to burn a lot of CNN staffers, seeing Cuomo prove over and over again that he was incompetent while raking in millions they would never have the chance to earn. Once Andrew was gone, they must have realized they no longer had to maintain the farce. Some of them must have seen Chris’s fall as a welcome opportunity to toss an embarrassing son of privilege.

Now CNN can gain social credit while disposing of an embarrassing mishire and, in all likelihood, promoting someone who will be better for their ratings.

Cuomo’s Twitter account still boasts that he’s a CNN anchor and promotes the show he used to host back when he was employed. Wonder how long he’ll take to change it.

Speaking of social credit, it looks like AOC can’t get enough. She made a bizarre, mysterious remark to the effect that the flash looting epidemic didn’t seem to exist. Her claim was so crazy, the Walgreen’s corporation used its Twitter account to debunk it. That’s really something.

Ordinarily, corporations want to seem as hyperwokeded as possible. For some reason, they labor under the delusion that catering to far-left extremists will please the public. Half of America voted for Donald Trump, so I question the logic. Anyway, somebody at Walgreen’s must be getting tired of seeing minority-area stores close due to unprofitability caused by looters.

I always talk about the Jewish legends of Sodom and Gomorrah, which say the cities were known for shoplifting mobs. Here is a passage from Legends of the Jews, a book which contains the material I refer to:

The inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah and the three other cities of the plain were sinful and godless. In their country there was an extensive vale, where they foregathered annually with their wives and their children and all belonging to them, to celebrate a feast lasting several days and consisting of the most revolting orgies. If a stranger merchant passed through their territory, he was besieged by them all, big and little alike, and robbed of whatever he possessed. Each one appropriated a bagatelle, until the traveller was stripped bare. If the victim ventured to remonstrate with one or another, he would show him that he had taken a mere trifle, not worth talking about. And the end was that they hounded him from the city.

This stuff comes from ancient Jewish writings which are known to contain gossip and untruths, but even histories which are largely corrupt usually contain a lot of accurate information. Think about it: even the most dishonest CNN story is probably 90% true. A lot of the Koran is probably true. I think the passage above is true. The parallels to our time are too strong to be coincidental.

The same book says the Sodomites eventually passed a law saying all visitors were to be gang-raped. There are American and Canadian cities where such treatment doesn’t seem impossible. They already have parades featuring completely nude men, and sex acts take place in the streets. The jump to raping strangers isn’t that big, and as a group, sexual deviants have a massive victim complex. Historically, such complexes have been used to justify horrific cruelty. It looks like a guy in Wisconsin just used one to justify killing 6 people with his car.

The book says the angels God sent to examine the city were inclined to recommend sparing it until the rape gang mustered. It also mentions gang looting as one of the sins that provoked the flood.

My personal take on AOC is that she is severely demonized. Her election was improbable, given her background, and it’s hard to find a natural explanation for the speed of her rise to power. Apart from that, she has those crazy eyes. She even looks demonized.

Things look bad for the world, but I’m not worried about myself. I keep getting indications I will be fine. Example: my wife just had a dream. She was walking north on a road, and she was with a lady who prays for people and prophesies. A group of black-and-white spotted cattle came walking down the road from the north. They were large, fat, healthy cattle. One of them broke from the herd, ran ahead of it, hugged the lady my wife was with, and then hugged my wife. It was thrilled to see them.

In the Bible, a pharaoh had a dream about fat cattle, and they represented years of prosperity. The coloring of the cattle in my wife’s dream suggests they were dairy cattle, not beef cattle. I never thought about it until today, but there aren’t any major beef cattle breeds that generally have black and white spots. You can only kill a beef cow once, but dairy cattle are reliable long-term providers. They would seem to represent sources of help that provide continuously. A cow gives milk every day.

The pharaoh also dreamed of skinny cows that represented years of famine. My wife didn’t see any of those.

Maybe the cattle represent the years of the tribulation, during which certain believers will be in heaven celebrating the marriage of Jesus.

I look forward to having my curiosity about the Omicron variant settled. I hope travel restrictions loosen soon, but humanity is not known for its collective common sense.
