If any of you can direct me to good Christ-centered help with dealing with addicts, I would appreciate it. Books, websites, organizations…I want to learn all I can. Thank you.

    Check with the folks at No Longer Bound, a drug/alcohol rehab ministry local to me. I’ve heard good things about them and they might be a good source for you. http://www.nolongerbound.com/

    Thanks. Teen Challenge looks pretty good; apparently, they accept adults. And there is a hate site dedicated to criticizing them. I consider that a good sign. If the people who failed their program and gave up are that angry, it probably means there was no enabling going on.
    .
    For the moment, a concise and effective book would be nice.

    Big Amen on Teen Challenge. They don’t do teens (go figure). I’ve met a number of people who have been through the program.
    Around here (southeast Michigan) they are now called Life Challenge (www.lifechallengesemi.org/ ) but there is a Life Challenge that is not them.

    I’ve also heard positive stuff about Teen Challenge – and not just ofr teen afed addicts
