Sorry

I don’t have any news about my sister yet. The doctor said he would talk to her this morning, and it is 1:43 p.m. where she is.

I’ll post something as soon as I know what’s happening.

More

I just spoke with my sister. The biopsy is positive. I don’t want to say any more than that, out of respect for her privacy. Hopefully, I’ll be able to write more about this challenge in the weeks to come. Thank you again for your help.

    Dear Steve, Dear Sister,

I am in tears and in shock. A need for deepfelt prayer. Yet I am also grateful that she found out today and not years from now.

I send my caring, my thoughts and my prayers.

I wish Hashem’s blessings and peace for you and your family.

Steve, Barb and I just prayed for your sister, for you and for your dad.

This seems to be the day for such prayers as we have also been praying for a family friend with a golf-ball sized brain tumor that was successfully removed today (the prognosis is very good). Her name is Carrie if anyone feels inclined to offer prayers for her as well.

Barb and I will keep praying for you all!

Steve – you & Sis & Dad have our prayers also.

When you posted that Sis went to Mayo, I assumed she went to Mayo – Jacksonville. But this afternoon when you posted what the time was in her location I realized she’s *here* – where I work.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m just a *tad* biased, but nonetheless I say she made the right decision in going to a major medical center. Whether it’s us or Cleveland Clinic or wherever, the collaboration of the specialists is key.

I assume that you can see the email address that I entered when I commented. Please email if I can help in any way. I work there and live within 15 miles. Not much I can do to grease the rails at Mayo since I’m not a Doctor or VIP (it’s tough to apply nonexistent influence) but if Sis is going to be here for a bit yet, maybe there’s some info this local yokel can pass on. For example: small town celebration/parade for a weekend distraction? Yup. Got Churches? Oh, yeah.

    Lemme know.

    Randy

My Brother has been lymphoma free for at least 4 years now. His was the not-serious kind, but it was still a scare. God Bless you all. I pray you keep your strength and trust, and that it serves as a blessing to your sister.

Certainly some scary time for her (and the family) now, but many of these things are eventually OK if caught and treted early – mine was inadvertly discovered, very early, and all turned out well (so far).

Let us hope and pray this is the case here.
