Facebook is Helping the Kooks Take Away Your Civil Rights
March 8th, 2009Guns Now; Expression Later?
Beth Cleaver’s profile photo was deleted from her Facebook account because it had a gun in it. These miserable people are trying to suppress acknowledgement and celebration of our precious right to keep and bear arms. I’m sure most Facebook employees are unaware of a couple of important facts, so I’ll spell them out: the right to keep and bear arms is a CIVIL RIGHT, and like freedom of speech and freedom of religion, it is guaranteed by THE BILL OF RIGHTS which is part of the US CONSTITUTION. It is not okay to treat it like a disease or a vice. In fact, if it were a disease or a vice, Facebook would have no problem with it.
Post gun photos in your Facebook profile. Let them know how you feel about having your rights threatened.

In fact, self defense is a basic human right, something that the U.N. seems to consider inconvenient.

Hmmm. We’ll see if they take down the one I have with the 57mm recoiless. I’ll let you know.

A 57mm recoiless? I don’t think that’s a “Gun”
It almost sounds like a bazooka or a rocket launcher.

Imagine the leftist howls if Facebook suppressed “Reproductive Right to Choose” photos.

The pro- gay and abortion and perversion stuff will stay up though, I’m sure

Leo, that picture is fantastic by the way. I have not had an issue with my Colt Peacemaker picture – yet. May they see it as some kind of historical artifact, not a functioning death dealer…

Leo: Is the 57mm mounted on a BobCat?
March 9th, 2009 at 9:22 PM
Ed, that would be fairly easy to do. Thanks for the idea.
.
Actually Bobcat operators should always be armed. It is good to have something to hold off the angry homeowners when they discover you have mistaken the address for that major lawn renovation.
By the way, I think the proper nomenclature is an M18 57mm recoiless rifle. I don’t remember what the letter designation behind the model is though on that particular one. Sorry.

Sunday night I was watching America’s Funniest Home Videos. There was a practical joke video where a man was scaring people with a fake rat pulled across the floor. He asked his two sons (or son and a friend, two teenage boys anyway) to help come kill the rat in the garage. I noticed that ABC blurred out the fact that one of the kids help some sort of handgun. I guess it’s so bad you can’t even show someone holding a gun anymore.

Jaboobie,
I saw that very episode! Is that what they blurred out?? I figured it was beer or something. Now I really can’t believe it. Just wow.
I’ll have to do some Googling to find a suitable gun picture for my profile. I don’t currently own one, but I need to get one.
