Plants Dosed

Home Depot sells magnesium sulfate for eight dollars, and the container is smaller than a liter Coke bottle. I went to CVS (chain drugstore), and they had a bag containing about six pounds, for four dollars. Plain old epsom salts.

Guess which one I bought.

My plants will be green, and if need be, I will have instant regularity.

I’ve used epsom salts as a bath additive, for sore muscles. It took me a minute to figure out why the check-out lady’s eyes widened when I bought two of the bigger boxes at a drug store.

…And – you can bake all the moisture out of it and use it as a drying agent, al la those little bags of desiccant you find in consumer electronics packaging.
