Victory is Here

The best father a man could ever want escaped the confines of this earth at about 2:00 p.m. It was very peaceful. I was beside him. Now he is with our Lord and my late mother, in a body that will never fail, with a mind that will always be clear and sharp.

Thanks to all who prayed for us and gave me support.

I am sure you both felt relief. You father from his ailing body and mind, you from the burden of caring for him.

Baruch Dayan Emes. Blessed is the true Judge.

You are a good son and fulfilled the tenets of honoring your father.

You leaned into it, you didn’t quit and tried your hardest, and most important is that you never wavered from your goal, seeing your dad saved. What a splendid example for us all.

My condolences Steve. It must have been a great comfort to your Dad that you were there with him.

And how special that you and he were able to bond and pray together — experience a healthier father/son relationship — before it was his time to pass. If you need someone to talk to, I’m here. God bless.

Joy! My first thought for you and your father. Of course, you have my full sympathy for the loss of the father you searched for all your life and finally found him at the end. But joy that a saviour came a long time ago and even now has ruled forever. Joy that your father will be there among those you will meet on the other side of this life.
I went to the funeral of a friend’s husband Saturday. He was 85, he lived a full and Christian life and she said she was shamefully happy. The pastor preached on the Biblical aspects of being gathered to your people. You dad has achieved that and one day you and I will.
I don’t plant to die anyway soon but I know my people who are waiting to greet me, and you do too.
I am shamefully happy for your father, and yet I know it will take you some time to relax in your mind that he is completely gone. Be joyful, he is with God.

Wow. Feels like we’ve been on this journey with you. Praying Jesus’ presence with you in a deeper and fuller way than ever.

What an amazing blessing to be Jesus’ vehicle for bringing your father to the Lord.

And thanks for sharing it with us in such profound and beautiful words!

Never easy, never really ready for it when it does happen. Just so glad God blessed you with a chance to redeem the relationship with your father, and for him to come to know the Lord. So sorry for your loss.
