I think.<\/p>\n<p>Today I brushed the rust off of it, which was probably not necessary, and then I wiped it down with denatured alcohol, and I put it out on the grass and blasted it with canned truck bed paint. It&#8217;s drying now. I think this was a good choice, because the saw won&#8217;t hurt the paint easily, and the reverse is also true. This stuff will be like a layer of padding between the saw and the base.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not sure how long it has to dry before I can put the saw on it. The can doesn&#8217;t say, believe it or not. A website for a similar product says 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>One problem with painting it is that if I have to weld extra metal in to support the swiveling casters, it will be hell getting the paint off.<\/p>\n<p>Even though I painted outdoors in a breeze, I think I&#8217;m a little high.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Finito The bandsaw base is finished.
