Mom Sick

Got two unusual comments from a regular reader. Thought I would throw them out there for prayer.
Bradford M. Kleemann Says:
My mother is sick. Her case manager suspects a urinary tract infection or a virus. She has a fever of 101F. She’s limp like a wet noodle. Her caregiver hurt her back lifting her and now I’m waiting for the caregiver agency to call back about a substitute.

New medication has arrived. My mother gets like this periodically, but this has been going on for a couple of weeks. Last night is the first time she has been this weak in a while. Usually she can walk with assistance to the bathroom, the kitchen table or the family room (where she spends her days) but today she is not able to do any of that. We used a wheelchair to get her back to bed this morning, with great difficulty. I cannot help that much as I am disabled myself with Muscular Dystrophy.

My mom’s fever broke on Tuesday, but it returned Wednesday night. She went into the hospital on Thursday where she remains today. She’s getting oxygen and I. V. antibiotics. Here appetite is not great, but that’s nothing new. Hopefully she will be home tomorrow, but she’s so weak that it takes two people to transfer her into a wheelchair or to her chair or back to bed and one caregiver may not be enough. Her case manager is going to order her a hospital bed for home use. Please pray that the logistics of this all works out smoothly and her appetite improves and her pneumonia goes away.

My mom got out of the hospital a week ago. She hasn’t eaten much in the past several days. Her case manager said she’s worse now than when she was in the hospital. I’m worried. I do not want to worry, but I do.
