To all the people speculating about the Tiger Woods car accident, speculating as to how he managed to do a 120-degree turn and destroy an Escalade on a clear night with nobody else on the road, please remember before you judge…the man is half Asian.

My high school class’ asian valedictorian’s mother once came to pick him and me up at the Princeton University library. I recall him pounding his head in embarrassment about her inability to negotiate a K turn. That was the spring of 1980. She may still be there.
